Excited to hear everyone's impressions come Friday. I've been using the WiiU Pro Controller for a while so hopefully there are people who have experienced both and can give me a comparison with general "feel" of the controller.
If anyone has any character action games they can try it with, that would be most helpful for me.

D3 is going to be an interesting one. Is it possible to configure one of the pads to be mouse & click, even with minimal force on it?
Going for PoE or Divinity I think. Want to test how much of a KB+mouse replacement it can be. After that probably Portal 2 being an FP game that was used as a demonstration.

Purchased via Steam on the 6th of June and it's still in the Netherlands apparently.

Isn't Divinity actually getting official controller support soonish (if not already?)
I'm actually kinda tempted to try calling some of the local Gamestops to see when they'd let me pick up a pre-ordered Steam controller, although it wouldn't be much of a pre-order if they let me have it the next day :/ If by some miracle I could get one early, I'd probably do a whole bunch of videos with it; I really want to see if I can get it to work well in Battlefield 4.

Just walked into EBGames and they checked their computer and confirmed I'll be getting my controller on Friday. Love it.

When I initially went to gamestop and told them the situation he looked up the release date on the computer and it said Nov 10th. I said I was going to preorder and he said OK now it shows Oct. 16
Nice. I just went to y local Gamestop and pre-ordered. Guy said I should have mine on Friday. Now this is how you shop. #Prosumer

I pre-ordered one in the USA within minutes of the pre-order going live on June 4th. That one will be arriving to me in EST USA on Friday. I also walked into GameStop today and reserved the last of the three controllers coming in Friday. One of my friends will surely want it.

Haha, make it happen, it's so easy. Word of mouth hasn't even spread yet, so you're gauranteed to get a copy.
Yes and no. Vanilla will never see it far as I know, but the Enhanced Edition will. Similar to Wasteland 2.
I'm mainly thinking of two recently, heavily mouse centric games that I'd have really liked to have been able to play with a controller just for comfort reasons, and this will likely do more than the hack job of using XPadder (or at least give a better cursor control option.)
Definitely want to give it a spin with games that were gamepad centric though. Stuff like platformers or third person action games that is.

Well, yes, another similarity with Wasteland 2.
... It's one of the primary examples of a game that's sat in my head for wanting to use with a Steam controller, around when the game itself came out.

No need to apologise. I'm in the same boat, but for me it's not been updated since the first.
Same projected delivery date here in Florida. Ordered on the first day. Appears to have shipped out on Tuesday and is currently in transit.
We have movement on UK orders. Controller updated within the last 10min to "in transit" since 2pm yesterday for me. No updates for Link yet but I'm guessing it will follow. Hope this reassures people -- it seems that tracking updates are lagging behind actual activity.
edit 1pm: UK Parcelforce numbers are now working too, it's being sent by 24hr delivery. They will arrive tomorrow for sure.

Mine too. Just checked GLS, and it's now updated to "arrived at depot" as of 14:00 Yesterday.
Didn't think would be any tracking since it's royal mail?
On the GLS page, there's a parcelforce tracking number.
