Hmmm Defense Grid is a maybe right now. I do like tower defense games and it seems like it would be a good time-killing casual game.

I don't remember if there is a demo, but seriously, I was never a fan of tower-defense games, and I never listened to people when they said it was a good game. The only thing I ever really played was Plants vs Zombies (casual tower defense).

Then I tried it and I definitely recommend it. Some levels might get difficult towards the end, but the AI voice is funny, the game is polished, and if the free Portal content is still in there then that content has good voice lines as well.

At this price it is a good deal.

I might drive my pc down to a friends house and download it. My 2mb connection with a 120gb bandwidth cap weeps during these sales.

Could be worse. Standard practice in Canada is 6-10mb connection with 40-50GB cap. You could theoretically blow through your allowance in 3 days if you streamed heavily.

A year ago I had a 30mb line with a 70GB cap. So easy to go over. I had to monitor my usage every day.

Dude, Defense Grid is a must buy. One of the best tower defense games ever. It's a ton of fun and a steal at that price. If you like it get all the dlc. It's just an all around fun game.

Agreed, It actually pisses me off that it's an online achievement, I love playing online but not for contests like this.

I hate playing online and I usually have to hope that one of my friends get it so we can cheese it. I've already been crushed twice while trying to get this with random people. Really pisses me off when devs do this.

NWN2, particularly the first expansion, is fantastic.
But it's also nothing at all like Diablo, Titan Quest or Sacred. Those are loot-fest action "RPG"s, while NWN2 has tactical party combat which is essentially turn based (if you're playing it right).

It's like the end of the first game, where you have access to all of Batman's gadgets and full access to Arkham Island, right from the start. And it builds from there.

It's is a less stealthy game, however.

Bit on Batman Arkham City. I usually don't bother with titles on Steam priced over $20, but this time, I made an exception since I loved Arkham Asylum so much.

This isn't just for you but I think it needs to be stressed:

IF YOU DONT HAVE THIS GAME AND YOU REMOTELY ARE INTERESTED IN TOWER DEFENSE.... GET THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, I keep coming back to it over and over. It is a huge bargain, it looks great, and you will put A LOT OF HOURS into it. Addicting tower defense gameplay done really well -AND- it's made with an engine that isn't flash (dev's: stop making cartoon tower defense games!).

There is so much value to be had in this title that it's silly not to have it.

And I also want to stress this: IF YOU BUY THIS GAME, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND PLAY IT! I am just as bad as the worst in here for buying something and letting it sit greyed out in steam. You can't do that to yourself with this game. Too much joy to be had.
