Unrelated, but man, Claw as a non-charge character is just wrong. I can't play him at all cause I keep going back to the move set that's been in my head for him since SF2CE.
Also, Ken does not seem to have a lot of tools... which is upsetting, though I guess if you're an execution guy, you can style like whoa with him:

It's still buggy but I just finished Assassins Creed Unity today and had fun with it. It helps that it looks absolutely amazing as well, the art department really do earn their pay. On a GTX 970 the framerate fluctuated between 45-60fps from my experience. I just spent time on the main story path with the odd side mission here and there and got 20 hours out of it so I was happy with that. I also enjoyed the main assassination missions a lot more than the last few games.
I see Jase played over 120 hours of that game, I don't know how you do it Jase. The thought of doing everything in that game would fill me with dread (though to be fair I've burnt myself out on collecting for now due to clearing most of Mad Max)

Lakeview Cabin episode 5 is now in beta, everyone should really check that out and watch the giant bomb quick look if you haven't. True hidden gem of the year so far.

DmC is probably Ninja Theory's greatest game to date but from a gameplay perspective DmC is probably only second to DMC2 as the worst in the series. The gameplay DMC2 is straight up terrible whereas DmC's is functional, even fun, just kind of basic and limiting. DmC was such a pointless and unnecessary reboot. The PR was bungled from day one by both Ninja Theory and Capcom. DmC also came out at the tail end of Capcom's not too effective strategy of working with and/or farming out series to western studios of questionable quality and dubious output while their internal studios worked on other titles. Airtight Games, Grin, Spark Unlimited, Ninja Theory, and Double Helix Games. Not exactly names that inspired any great confidence, three of them are closed now and most of the games they worked on were middling to terrible. Only Blue Castle and Dead Rising seemed to work out really well.

Been thinking about Ninja Gaiden after seeing Devil's Third. Man, I heard a lot of good things about that game. It's on top of revered 3rd-person-action-games (don't know the exact genre name) like Devil May Cry. It's a bit more appealing than later due to its Ninja setting to me. With DoA now on PC and PC folks still being very excited over older console ports, I do believe NG could realistically be seen soon on PC.
Also, made me remember about Miguel81 (Dante81), Haven't seen him in a while sadly and also not responding on Steam

Yeah, Ninja Gaiden is great. I've never played a game that made me feel more like a ninja (at least in terms of fighting -- it's not a stealth game, of course). The combat was so good/fun/exhilarating that I can remember turning corners and seeing distant guys that I could just bypass, but then going in for the kill anyway, flinging shuriken at them until I was close enough to use the sword (even though the game could be difficult and it might've been wiser to avoid unnecessary fighting). It's so rewarding to master the various techniques and then leap into battle against a mob of guys and almost feel sorry for them because despite their numerical superiority, they're up against a ninja.

Haha, I comb through the specials list every couple of days. Publishers being able to set their own discount periods (to an extent) is both a blessing and a curse.

That's why he reduced bundle-purchases and in time previously unbundled games will lead to more enticing bundles. He did make a post about his changes to purchasing a coupe weeks ago, you gotta read his posts!
If you go into the fighter record, then look at your replays, you can view each opponent's fighter record, and that'll tell you if they're on PC or PS4.
And yes, the netcode is fantastic when it works, which is thankfully nearly all the time. I've seen it not work twice, and it's a whole new level of hell.

I'm hoping that by ignoring cheap new releases, non-Greenlight bundles will start being a more attractive value proposition. Most the time they contain just one or two games I don't own and so it makes more sense to simply wait for some sort of discount on Steam than to cough up a few bucks or whatever for the bundle.

I'm not really digging Gat out of Hell. The open world really feels dead and empty. There are no gangs controlling the territory you're taking over, and you don't have your gang replacing them. There's a few demon cops here and there but it doesn't feel like you're pacifying hostile territory. Without the character customistation there aren't any clothing shops or plastic surgery clinics further adding to the feeling the world is empty. There are no interactions with NPCs. I cannot do The Carlton to taunt my enemies and let them know their doom has arrived. It doesn't look like there are a whole lot of missions to this game and that it's kind of short, relative to the other Saints Row games.
The upshot is it flying is pretty fun and they give you access to all of your powers right from the start of the game. Hopefully being a sandbox for those mechanics will be enough to carry the game.

Played SF5 beta on my PS4 and I didn't notice any major lag, helps that I've been paired/matched with players from my region.
I only won 1 game and lost like 4-5 but I didn't mind, I still enjoyed what I played.
DmC is still a good action game.
