That was a great display by Werdum, for the record. I really thought the fight was over for Fedor. He kept his composure with a few great holds there, that was as good as a one minute back and forth fight can get :lol

So unlike Fedor.
What in the hell makes you charge in on a bjj focused fighter, and even more what makes you stay in there when you get out of the first sub attempt (arm bar).
I do not get it.

Sorry but you don't just go to the ground with a 2 times ADCC champion and expect to ground and pound, terrible mistake by Fedor.

But I'm happy, BJJ once again kicking asses. :D

Baited to the ground so hard, he even sat for 3 seconds tempting him in :lol

Yeah, Fedor totally got suckered in... didn't respect Werdum's ground game at all.

Great win for Werdum, hopefully it shuts up his nuthuggers.

And an era has ended.

This sport is so shocking and intermittently unpredictable. That's why we can't get enough of it.

I knew this was going to happen. There's a reason why AA and even Nog didn't go into Werdum's guard. Fedor is too cocky and paid for it. Nog has very good bjj Werdum has elite bjj.

What program do you use to photoshop a picture?
LOL is this the first time, the Winner asks for a immediate rematch?

Well, if there's a silver lining here, I guess it's now noone can deny my boy Spider as being the #1 P4P in the world.

So does Fedor try to claim political asylum in the US now? I mean, he can't go back to Russia right?
vladimir putin has put a hit on him! although who the hell will fedor fight next now? bigfoot silva? looks like the only fight that makes sense.

Well atleast we can get over this record thing now and he can get whoever thrown at him. Still a Fedor fan, would love to see a Werdum rematch. Ubereem might demolish Werdum, but we'll see.

he got careless

though Dum was "very" hurt, but .....
Fedor didn't get careless. He did the same thing he does whenever he gets a knockdown. The difference is that he did it against an elite grappler. He usually slips out of those situations before they even blow up like that.

Jose Aldo is a pretty solid argument also. I'm convinced he could compete in the UFC 155 division.

I think my friend just made a nice payday on this one. The Fedor era was unparalleled dominant, but all things come to an end.

tbh strikeforce might be somewhat relieved as well. who's to say fedor and m-1 would have even agreed to fight overeem. fedor vs. rogers compared to overeem vs. rogers should have really been a sign to him imo but i guess he just took one fight too many

i thought cung was awesome. i know he has a lot of haters but i really wish he stuck around instead of trying to become an action hero. put him up against middling guys and he's one of the most entertaining fighters out there. he really looked like he had that killer instinct the entire fight which was cool to see.

the thomson fight was decent. i didn't think thomson looked too hot but it's hard to tell against a scrappy (albeit near .500) guy like that.

The aura of invincibility is gone, so I dunno about that. Lots of people who fight Fedor are beat before they even start, no more.

looks like fedor thought he was immune to submissions.

Exactly. wtf was he thinking? Werdum is one of the best no-gi BJJ practitioners in the world, I thought he would want to avoid going to the ground as much as possible.
