I believe it. They buying 700 consoles. Hell they didn’t mind spending a 1000 for the normal ps5 when it came out. I’m believing they got the money, but they not so bright. They like office politics workers. They don’t know how to manage money.

I said it a million times over this thread that the 1k ppl do not represent the entire population, thats my main post, and in all my replies here. Facts are in writting, now u guys are changing the narrative. Im talking with children, smh.
I can't believe you keep doubling-down on how you don't believe in elementary statistics.

It's getting to the flat-earth levels of ignorance.

Of course 1000 people can be representative of a large population, considering the survey is done correctly.

I can't believe you lack elementary logic and not all statistics apply to the real world. Stupidity is reaching to the Mars.

He just doesn't understand how surveys like this work

The amazing part isn't so much him doubling down on it its so many people here tried to point him in the right direction but he refuses to enlighten himself and calls those trying to help him the dumb dumbs

In that case every single dime spent on video games is a case of mismanaging money. It ain't exactly investing in a 401k, now is it?

I'd love to see him in an introductory statistics course and argue with a professor how a sample size of ".000001% of the world's population" can't possibly be accurate.

It's hilarious to see people arguing science because it just doesn't make sense to them.

Somebody who thinks totals influence averages apparently. You seem confused.
When you sell to a majority, yes averages make sense, especially when your console is $500 - $700. Aren't Playstation consoles flying off the shelf at a 6:1 ratio compared to Xbox? That's a fairly significant difference.

A lot are still on PS4. A few friends my son plays online with are still on PS4 and their family is obviously on low income sadly

One of his friends can't never buy skins or cosmetics and always keeps his vbucks for the next season in fortnite. Sweetest kid ever as well, I'm gonna make sure to send him vbucks for Christmas and his birthday.
You are just enabling an addiction /s

So let me get this straight. I game on PC, Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo and I earn more than the averages listed from this study...

How does that factor in?

Whether something is selling 100:1 or 1:1 it makes no difference to an averaged salary. What you're saying makes no sense. This isn't a tally of income for those who own a specific platform, it's an average. An average of 100 people can be the same as 2 people.

In a study about the benefits of children playing games, that footnote is used for the clickbait and clout. Nice. Meanwhile...

PlayStation takes the hit because users like older consoles better than newer ones and a closer look would likely find the most positive sentiment associated with PS2 and less with each subsequent generation. SEGA, Nintendo and especially Atari are only posts from users interested in dead platforms and they generally have nothing to complain about. Xbox isn't a legitimate console and, outside of providing a cheap PS knockoff console, has never contributed anything to gaming.

I don’t have time for PC gaming. I need to get home and shit to automatically work. Even with iPhone with all it’s features you have to customize it enough to work for you.

Ill buy the newest iPhone and PS5 every single time on a whim. My time is more of an issue than my money. I hate things that don’t respect my time.

nobody needs 700 consoles, I only have 635 and that is enough.

Not for something like income which has such a broad range. Ask 1000 people their height you might get close to an average height in the US, because people can't be 1000ft tall. I mean this is only 20 people per state and each state can vary from 50k to 100k average.

Also depends on family size. 62k is definitely high for a single person, but not necessarily for a family, but yes.....still depends on area. In the SE US, that is considered pretty good.
Same with Southern Indiana a person could make a decent living there with decent homes being very affordable in the $150-$200k for a decent starter home.

Living in Jupiter Florida near the inlet on the coast homes here can run 20 million

Yeah, my father lives in Orange Beach, AL and the price of houses there is crazy.

Don't think I'll be leaving the Atlanta suburbs any time soon.

I remember time when my iPhone was like this now, any new one I buy automatically install all of my apps connected to my Apple ID and over the years that number grown quite a lot, as result got lots of screens and last 24 months I didn’t go beyond screen 2 (2 swipes right). Still love my new iPhones when I get them.

Never had an issue with my PC gaming, I check for updates once a week, most of the things is set automatically update by itself. Last game crash I have experience was maybe 2-3 years ago on my PC, but I take care of my PC and at the end of the day play more on Xbox series x so that’s maybe why. Stopped caring about modding etc years ago as well.

My wife loves watching shows like House Hunters and I end up watching her shows since I let her control the TV remote 90% of the time and also why I have our PC desks in the same room as one of the TVs so I can play while we watch said shows

All that to say when a show like that goes to the ATL I am amazed how nice of homes can be purchased for the cost if you get out of town just a little bit, seems like a great place to live

And yeah Orange Beach is quite expensive to if you get close to the beach

So, two thousand dollars a year? That's the difference? I wonder if that's even statistically significant. Even if it is, it doesn't seem like a meaningful difference to me.
