BB episode 32 - Finally caught up and it was fine for the most part except for a few moments when they seemingly lose the ability to think properly. What the fuck was Pat thinking not finishing off that hunter? Just as he gets control back he basically gave it to Woolie. Why would they abandon so many Blood echoes? It did make me laugh when Woolie called Pat a coward. Pot calling the kettle etc
I don't really get calling Woolie a coward in this situation. He's never actually run away from a fight back to a lamp like Pat tried to. Pat just actually super backed down. Woolie at least backs down behind a tree and then goes to finish the kill.
I hope they just drop BB.
I know they won't, but I can dream.
No
Also, they've never been a group to play the cutting edge latest games, so I disagree with that part.
It's not about the fans being critical of the game, it's about being entertaining. That is the job of an LP group; either play the game flawlessly and provide interesting commentary (ENB, Plague sometimes), or be entertaining while you fuck up (GameGrumps, TwoSayinsPlay, Crit1kal).
But none of this really matters. They recorded the entire thing already, and I can only hope there's some godlike progress in one of these episodes that pushes the thing further along to conclusion. The fact they haven't even gotten to Rom yet means we're stuck with this thing for at least another couple of months at this rate.
They don't feel the need to play the latest games, but they at least know when they've been doing it like how they did lately since Bloodborne, Rev 2, GoT, LiS, and MK all happened.
I also don't feel like it needs to be those two extremes. I get enjoyment out of seeing their reactions to areas, enemy setups, or other dumb bullshit. I like to see people I like first reactions at a thing and get to see their opinion form a bit as well. That's the best thing I get from this playthrough probably and I really like that. Unless Pat plays ahead and fucks it all up.
I also hope they make some good progress eventually to pick up the pace. I enjoy the LP well enough, but I don't know if I could really enjoy another 2 months of it.
Thank you for providing legitimate criticism instead of complaining over minute details, and acknowledging the point where there's nothing that's gonna change.
I really just dropped it- same as I did with DS2. Although unlike where I have no interest in seeing someone play DS2, this is just suffering too hard. I don't think blind Souls LPs are smart.
I also don't see the point in never complaining or needing to acknowledge the point of nothing is going to change. If someone sees my post every weekday of a Bloodborne episode and takes that as me complaining then I'm sorry that it seemed that way. I'd like to think a lot of people know that a lot of the LP is already recorded at this point. I don't think that's going to stop us from talking about an episode or being slightly annoyed at how they handled a situation. It's just commenting on it and hoping they improve the next day. If I couldn't slightly complain about a Pat being a coward then I don't see the point of every commenting on these videos. People's actual criticism of "I don't like double blind LPs," will reach them, but it won't mean much of anything. They'll still finish the LP they're doing and then maybe for the future they won't do a double blind LP unless they're completely sure the game will work for it.
Edit- I see it as the same as complaining about some poor service or the rain or some other dumb thing I guess. Nothing will change, but it's all technically small talk anyway. I'm not going to there and be silent about some shitty service at a restaurant. I'll complain about it with the person I'm with if they're there because it's just a human thing to do. Do I expect change? Not exactly. I just talk about things because they're things that exist.
With this LP as well there's always the chance the complaining might catch up. It just depends if they didn't finish the game or not so they could sit there and soak in the criticism or complaints to beef up the newer parts.
So as someone who's never played a Sonic, watching Sonic Adventure, why is everybody so mad about Sonic 06 and Sonic Boom? They look like they're made from the same janky cloth to me.
If you stare at Sonic 06 for a little bit, it's pretty obvious how much more jank it is than Sonic Adventure. Do a little kick on a box over and over to float into the stratosphere. Sonic Boom is just boring/slow and happens to include a infinite jump glitch to make it a little more entertaining.
I would go back and keep up with DaS2, I just had several times where I had to stop watching, between awful individual episodes or comments actually ruining any enjoyment I had. BB being double blind exaggerates the faults, or maybe I just can't handle another DS2-esque thing.
I see SO much complaining over these LPs that it actually hurts my enjoyment, so I maybe assumed too much in that complaints were from people actually upset.
Again, I can't believe people are actually genuinely upset at the LPs. I don't know if that's just me projecting my thoughts on others, but I can't bring up any anger and actually type that into words. The most I get is some annoyance, maybe some temple rubbing, and sighs. I'd like to hope most people are the same here. Stuff may come off strong when seen in text form, but I know I at least don't have much bottled up or anything after typing out what I thought about an episode. It's just my thoughts about an episode and then I move on. I don't see my stuff as complaining, but that's just me.
Edit- Major complaining I guess I should of said for the last bit as it would sound like I'm a hypocrite when reading my comments a little bit above where I say I'm complaining. Also you should stop letting comments effect your enjoyment. Here and the reddit are about the same with the reddit maybe being a little worse with hyperbole. The youtube is youtube. 4chan is I don't know what they're doing. I can't even begin to imagine what tumblr does with anything.
Just started the latest Bloodborne episode and OH MY GOD JUST FUCKING HEAL YOU IDIOT! They have her down to a tiny bit of health and like 13 vials left but nope, let's just not heal because you might run out of vials even though it's trivial to get more. I just don't understand.
Other than that I'm really enjoying this playthrough just like the DS2 one. Yeah, Woolie could be faster and more aggressive but if that's the way he's playing then so be it. It should be obvious that they're going to miss stuff or do dumb shit in their first run especially since they're playing this together. I still like to see their genuine first reaction to new stuff so I don't really understand the hate this playthrough is getting. Nuzlocke was boring as shit and they weren't even that into it (Matt especially) and this is not that.
Yeah, didn't really get why he felt the need to conserve more vials. He goes on to unload like 10 bullets later for the equivalent of one hit so I don't really get the point. Also enjoying the game for the reactions mostly. I just like to see them see the shit I've seen so I can see what they felt as well. I also expect some nonsense since playing together and it being an LP. Will we get the true ending legit? Probably not just because it's an LP and they miss some shit. That's the nature of them. Nuzlocke was Nuzlocke. A lot of uninterest from them and a lot of uninterest from me.
Woolie was complaining about Pat's advice being unhelpful, Pat gave him shit for taking his time and attacking the archers instead of running through the area, Pat kept saying super down to earth real talk like, "I'm the one doing all the commentary", that the LP was all Woolie's idea, and that if he couldn't handle the pressure he shouldn't have suggested it. Then Woolie died to Smelter Demon and they took a break before things escalated. It was great.
If you just want them being kind of real talk/asshole/salt to each other there is some of that sprinkled in this playthrough. It can get mighty uncomfortable at times. It's not a ton, but there's a few moments.
