TEKKEN 7 |OT| How I killed your mother

What about ps4 version? Match making still takes forever:(
It just feels pointless to play the PS4 version online right now.

Matchmaking is incredibly slow, loading times are wack and lobbies DESPERATELY need a rematch option.
The rank system is weird. From what I understand, you gain less progress towards your promotion by beating someone a few ranks ahead of you than the same rank.
A bit late here, but congrats on becoming a full-fledged member!

Are they even going to fix that? Seems like the team responsible for the ps4 port is as bad as Capcom when it comes to communicating :(.

Finished up story mode. That extra battle against Akuma was a pain in the ass even on easy.

Spent a few hours after that learning the game more and trying characters. Working on learning Asuka at the moment and having fun. Played some arcade battles and treasure battles and a handful of online battles. Won 1 and a few rounds here and there so I've got a lot of practicing to do.
.

Man, Claudio is kinda boring. I feel like I'm just doing the same two moves.

Doesn't help that all his unique customization items are super camp. It's impossible to make him look cool lmao. Gonna pass on this character. Needs a few sequels to round out his movelist.

When should i use it? The startup is so slow and the angle is so weird...

Really?

I figure it's only difficult when you're playing close quarters. No keen on that since all Akuma does when punches and kicks are thrown at him is absorbing them and teleporting around.

How much better does this play with a fight stick? I have the Hori Tekken 7 stick on hold st GameStop and waffling on buying it or just sticking with my Hori fighting commander pad. I worry I'll tire of the game after a month and have the stick gather dust like the last time I bought a stick and later sold (albeit at a profit).

I mean, I love how this plays on a stick, but then I also love how other fighters play on a stick. So if you bought a stick in the past and didn't find it worth it I'm really not sure things are going to be much different with Tekken.

Have you played with a stick before? If not then it's going to play worse. It's a completely different set of muscle memory and you're going to be incredibly awkward with it while you try to acclimate and even then there is no guarantee that you will be better with it in the end.

I don't think it makes difference, it's more about what you're used to.

Are you using Wifi? I was only able to connect to 1 out of 5 matches the other day then realized I was on wifi even though my ethernet cable was hooked up. Immediately switched and had no problems whatsoever afterwards.

Nah, I can confirm that the PS4 is using the ethernet cable, but it takes so long to find matches and so frustrating. I don't think my connection is the prooblem because it's at 130 Mbps+ download speed, but even getting in fights with at least 4 bars is super rare.

Ya even with me, sometimes it takes 10+ minutes to get matches and I'm using wired connection, i really hope this game issues are fixed ASAP :(.

I've ended up settling on Alisa as my main. She's got a lot of good pokes, and I found some pretty straightforward combo starters/enders to work with. Can't wait to get bodied after I inevitably beat story mode!

I have. Was much better at SFIV and V and MKX with stick. I'm getting a lot of errors with the d-pad on the fighting commander.

I think I'll just grab it. I think I'll do combos better on it as well as I found those a ton easier on stick with MKX.

Being game specific the value will probably jump down the road like it did on the Chun Li TE2 I had and sold for more than I paid. I think I'm more likely to stick with fighters now than before as well as I'm really burnt out on narrative-driven SP games which is what pulled me away from fighters the last time I tried to dive back in.

I hope I can get used to the square gate and non-Sanwa buttons though as I'd rather. Not spend more to replace those.

So much better. I'm missing input commands, timing errors and accuracy while playing with a pad. Funny thing is, I do much better on controllers with MKXL compared to playing that game with a fight stick. I must dig up that Fighting Commander from storage, back to see if I can do better on a pad with T7. It was my go-to control device for MKXL previously.

Has anyone on PC noticed weird behaviors by anything with cloth physics since last update? Yoshimitsu's tentacles are twitching really weirdly now, and Jin's coats feel like they are constantly vibrating.

What the heck. They used to be perfect :(

See really weird swings where someone has 50w more than me with a character but the same rank.

Anyway, felt like I had to win a tonnnnnne of matches to get my blue rank over the last few nights. Would win 3, lose 1, win 2, lose 1, win 3, lose 1 etc. Finally got it though.

Sorry to the Steve fox who got demoted by my promotion. There was no way I was losing that bruv.

Yeah, I saw that last night. Trying to get my blue rank and fighting a lot of blue ranks but no promotion in sight.

I did almost get demoted at the start by a Bryan but clutched it out in the end. No thank you, you aren't promoting against me today.

His default hair looks like shit.

Its one of the reasons why I cant pick him lol

Really cool to see a japanese developer respond this fast to feedback/error reports from the players.

It shouldn't be a surprise i guess, but Capcom and SE have really given me trust issues over the last few years.

PS4 version is still terrible just an FYI. I think I'm gonna sell this and just buy something else. I'm a huge tekken fan too so this is super disappointing.
