The 4th Democratic Primary Debate

Sources on this?
There is no source. It's mostly speculation as to why only 6 primary debates are scheduled and why the debates are scheduled on weekends. A general analysis can conclude that it's a high possibility that the debate schedule is poor because of favoritism, but of course nobody is going to come out and say that.

However, the desire for less debates is actually cross-partisan. Both the Republicans and the Democrats scheduled less primary debates for this round compared to previous elections.

the fuck?

What the hell is with the scheduling of these debates.

This one is better than the ones on Friday or Saturday at least. DWS still having a job is the most baffling thing for me this election, should have been put under more serious pressure to resign after the ineptitude and favoritism she has shown.

Clinton fans going against Sanders on his proposes because "none of it will pass" is idiotic when one remembers that the GOP thinks Hillary is literally Hitler.

Sanders nor Clinton will get shit done unless the Dems can mange to capture even a slimmer of the hype people have for Sanders in 2018. That’s the only hope.

They didn't wanted to work with Obama either right? Wasn't Congress shut down at a point, everything going in gridlock, obamacare supposed to die at every turn?

So many laws are passed constantly, that things will be able to happen. If Obama could get the Iran deal through against massive opposition from the right, shouldn't Clinton/Sanders also be able to?

What are the chances that Elizabeth Warren would be a vice president for either candidate?

The media is flying high on anti-Clinton narrative right now. I think this is the perfect moment for Sanders to FINALLY win a debate (he hasnt won a single one, lets be real). The schedule of this one doesnt seems as bad, too.

It's really a shame Elizabeth Warren and Uncle Joe didn't run. Would've made this race ALOT more interesting. Now the Dems are stuck with two weak candidates.

Oh well. Better than Republicans I suppose. Lesser of two evils and all that...

Is Elizabeth Warren either different or stronger than Bernie? They agree on matters of policy, they have comparable voting records, she's old but less old, she's not a notably better public speaker or debator. I'm just curious as to what you think Elizabeth Warren would be adding to the race that Bernie isn't. Is it that he has described himself as a socialist even though he isn't and she hasn't described herself as a socialist?

I feel like Warren would bring a different energy to the race. She steals Hillary's "first woman president" shtick and cuts the "monarchy" vibe of electing another Clinton. It's much easier to get excited about voting for Warren than Hillary IMO.

As for Bernie, I feel that his "socialist" tag makes him a potentially divisive and polarizing figure. It plays well in the Democratic primaries but it's going to hurt him big time in the general election (in the unlikely event he gets there). I'm also concerned about whether he could carry out a full term (or two) while staying in good physical and mental health due to his age.

I just hate how the DNC is doing everything they can to protect Hillary. It reeks of weakness. If she can't win a primary legit then she can't win a general either. I've always believed that a hard fought primary is best for any political party. It gets all the candidates sorted and toughened up, passions up, base energized, and everyone gets refined as they go (see Obama 08) and ready for the general.

Sources on this?

She co chaired Hillary's Presidential campaign in 2008.]

Anyway, concern trolling about age and 'omg socialist' are just weaksauce.

He would not have trouble beating down the GOP under any circumstances, most especially Trump. You can't say "eject muslims from this country" and expect to get anywhere near the majority vote in a general. Only in his own field of GOP nonsense does he stand tall.

However Bernie saying "i want your kids to go to college, and get healthcare, and take on wall street" and people suddenly get energized

Sadly, I'll be working and miss this.

It'll be interesting to see how Hillary comes across during this. She's clearly gotta defend herself and her record, especially since she's losing ground. But she can't come off as too much of an attack dog and alienate all the Bernie supporters/ABC-types who will jump on any negativity coming from her direction.

She's in a tough spot.

Hopefully we get a lot of questions concerning Flint and Iran, should make the contrast with the other debates all the more astonishing.

dems have less debates but only 2 real candidates so i guess the speaking times won't be much different than the 5 min across more debates repubs get right? has somebody done the math?

also in those 5 minutes are 4.5 bickering.

Its good that Bernie is having this surge now, in case Hillary gets indicted for her email server.

And no, I'm not saying I want her to be or that she should be.

Im reading lots of talk about Hillary calling out Bernie as too old for being president and complain about his health, but can't read anywhere she's said it. Is this bullshit or true?

the fuck?

What the hell is with the scheduling of these debates.

DNC does not want people to watch the debates but they dont want to be criticized for not having debates, so they schedule them directly against things like NFL Football so that no one watches

Why are there so little Democratic candidates compared to the Republican primaries?

1. Hilary
2. Republican candidates think they are the chosen one, so they won't drop out/support each other.
3. Republican candidates want to sell books/get a show on Fox. The longer they stay in the spotlight, the more money they'll make in the long run.
