What a boring race this has been.

Ricciardo is a true survivor. The Renault engine gods smile upon him.

I bet Red Bull was just praying for the race to finish, I doubt any Renault engine could have made it another 10 laps.

By mid-season I bet all four Renault cars will have constant grid place penalties until the end of the season.

lol, he had his in Australia :/

Do we know how many Renault engines have died this year? Two this race, one in Australia, not sure if any in the last round... christ almighty.

All we really learned this race is that Hamilton had a spare second a lap in the car to activate when desired and that he's fantastic at controlling the field from the lead, and if Kimi can actually put a qualifying lap together for once he's just as fast as Vettel.

Rosberg is the big loser here. Hamilton had total control over the gap the entire race and he knows it and there still wasn't anything he could do about it, and, worse, Hamilton made him look like a total chump in the pit in and outlaps. Kimi knows his position on the grid cost him. Someone get Ricciardo to a casino before his luck runs out.

Completely agree with your assessment. Kimi has got to fix his qualifying. This is becoming slightly unacceptable. This has likely cost him a podium or two.

Lewis raced very well, how he controlled the field and just rolled over them after second pit stop. Too bad for that SC, Kimi would catch Vettel...
I was even able to watch it, sight is getting much better

It's a shame that there's no Formula E on this weekend. They should up the amount of races for next season.

Edit: Oh right, race impressions: Some cars drove to the end and finished the race.

Ted reporting that ROS was fuming in the press conference.

You just get the sense that there's a underpinning of impotent rage building within Rosberg with each race that Hamilton hammers down the point that he's now in a different class to him. It'll frustrate and hamper him until he can do something positive with all that negative energy; sadly, I think his best chance of winning the championship has now gone.
The reality is that Hamilton has gone up a level in the same way that Vettel's did after eeking out Alonso and Webber for his first world championship.

I hope Rosberg can make a fight of it, like he did last year. I don't think he will, though. Hamilton is truly settled in the team and has just gone up a level this year. The best chance of a compelling title battle is if Ferrari and Vettel can crash the party.

Rosberg just needs to get good. I can't wait until Rosberg gets a pole and Hamilton hunts him down - just as he did numerous times last year. Would be big FU at Rosberg.

Rosberg saying Hamilton backed him up on purpose, as Vettel was closing in on him... but yet Rosberg couldn't close in on Lewis.

What's even worse is his following logic: "He has the same car as me, I won't be able to overtake him anyways, so why even bother?"

If I was Hamilton I'd put a sticker on my back wing saying, "Hey Rosberg, how you doin'? Me? Just Cruisin'"

.

Hamiltons early reliability problems last year over inflate Rosbergs stature, once the 44 car stopped having issues it has been like a cat playing with a bloody mouse.

Rosberg - 'I'm leading the championship, see how good I am!'
Hamilton - 'lol'.

Actually, if I was Hamilton I'd also sneak a "baby on board" sticker on the back of Rosberg's car as well. That claim was just ridiculous. Hamilton, also is capable of having a good moan, but I just can't imagine him conceding what Rosberg did during that interview.

This Hamilton will be hard to beat. He is getting more complete as he levels through his career.

Raikkonen is excellent in the race. I see a win for him this season. He badly needs to improve his starting position though.

I need to see video of the press conference.
They should put all the press conferences up on YouTube, or at the very least have them available through F1 Access.

I don't know the exact stats, but Hamilton's dominance after Spa is as comprehensive as it gets. It's Vettel and Webber all over again. A close championship in the first season, with Vettel dogged by reliability and other problems, allowing Webber to push him all the way, but once the dust settled and that championship was in the bag, Vettel found another level.

Lewis did that quite nice, he slowed down to lure Nico and Vettel to get closer. Nico was affected by dirty air behind Hamilton (plus another distraction with a red car in the mirrors plus complaining to pitwall), and Vettel was also in dirty air behind Nico. Lewis could control the gap easily at around two seconds. So they both chewed their tyres faster...

Maldonado says it's "always good to be fighting with Jenson and Fernando."

No, Maldonado, when you're fighting with a gimped Honda, that's not good at all, that means either you or your car is dogshit.
