Hey all,

I'm with Ragtag Studio, and we developed Unstoppable Fist, which releases today on the appstore. Just wanted to say hi and make an official post about it, and offer to answer any questions any of you might have.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/unsto...086?ls=1&mt=8/

As a side note, we have a really interesting new entry on our blog that takes you through the development of the game, and the main character. Check it out if you are interested:

http://ragtagstudio.com/devblog/

I also wanted to let you know that our first game, Puppy Panic, is free for the next three days to celebrate Unstoppable Fists' release. (not that they have ANYTHING to do with each other!) Anyway, some of you may dig Puppy Panic, especially those of you with kids. And its free now so why not give it a shot?

iPad version:

iPhone version:

Enjoy!
I think your links have just been copy/pasted, including the shortened bits. Post full links so I can have a look and be lazy (though I could've searched for links myself, would've been quicker than typing this post... but that's beside the point). Definitely liked the video posted earlier in the thread!

Is it just me or are the controls in the ipad version of Flick Kick Football completely fucked now?

They are certainly different. Before the update you would barely swip your finger and you'd send the ball flying off. Now you need to have a wider swiping motion. Maybe it's taking into account a larger screen? Not sure. I've gotten used to it though and sort of like it better this way because you have a wider range of variance in your shots.

Nice one cheers, just grabbed Puppy Panic and will get Unstoppable Fist shortly no doubt too :)

What's the pirate game used on the background of your website? Loving that style

any other fans of Power of Coin?

it's like an iOS version of the ticket games at the arcade: insert a coin, and it may or may not push off some of the other coins already sitting.

free version here http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/power-of-coin/id452673609?mt=8

I never bought any IAP and I'm still enjoying it

Some of us had our runs with it, but I pretty much got bored of it when I found out it just goes on forever and loops.

In celebration of their 40th birthday, you can get all 100 games in the Atari's Greatest Hits for FREE today (normally $9.99).
https://twitter.com/atari/status/218059583648833536

The catch?
Offer available today only, and only in effect as long as you keep it installed.
All games in the collection will remain free-to-play UNTIL you remove or reinstall the game.

Pretty cool if you like all that old shit (or think you do) ... get it here :

My iCade quivers with excitement.

Unfortunately, its not actually a game. Just a bit of pixel art that Matt, the same guy that did the art for Fist put together. Hes on a pixel kick right now.\

But you aren't the first to ask that, so maybe we should consider doing something with it!

Hey guys the Kingdom Rush works with the Retina iPad!

Or so it says in their screenshots on the App Store.

I was hoping it was going to be universal, but since I can't actually beat one of the boss fights on my OG iPad, I may have to pick this one up. (Game crashes when too many necromancers summon too many skeletons)

Ok this has way more narrative than I was expecting, and these guys have classes and all. The wild west version was the one I was supossed to get right?

The first one is absolutely excellent as well -- perhaps more beautiful and every bit as deep in its presentation -- but the iCloud support, for me, is the big plus of WW. It will be nice to be able to delete this when I need the space and go back to my old save without worry.

Guess I'll get Kingdom Rush since you guys love it. Also considering Where's My Perry. Other than the fact that it's like Where's my Water it's based on Phineas and Ferb which has to mean it's good!

Absolutely the best TD game I think I've ever played. Heroes and reinforcements completely change how the game plays compared to most other TD games. It's more like Lock's Quest (TD) without the frustration of poor pathing. The tiny size of everything takes some getting used to (I had been playing the flash version on Kongregate), but once you do get used to it it's just as addictive. Insanely awesome TD. Everything else will pale after you play it.

Yup, works great with win8. Tried it last night. Flash video on the iPad? Wat! Gonna take Diablo III for a spin when I get the time.

Don't see the retina res though. Anyone knows how to enable that?

You have to set it to use your computer's native res. I think it defaults to switching to 1024x768. I used Nvidia control panel to add 2048x1536 and 1536x2048 custom resolutions (warning: huge screenshot) which work beautifully with Splashtop.

I wish there was an Splashtop option to switch to a resolution besides 1024x768 upon connect.

Does Splashtop use the RDP protocol or does it have its own service that has to be running on the target PC? I've been using 2X for RDP.

What?

It's been on the iPad for like a year...

Ok, I really need to stop picking up freebies...I've bought 600 apps since owning the new iPad. Most of those are games.

Hello, my name is Wes and I'm an addict.

Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes coming to iOS.

Also, did you guys see that Horn video? Game looks fantastic.

Hands-On and video:

Anyone get Cthulhu saves the world?

Yeah I got it, it's pretty good. The controls on iPad are a bit poo (better on the phone) but the game itself is nice. Very funny script, decent pixel art and it's a good Dragon Quest style game which I'm really happy with since I bloody love DQ. Played about an hour so far, I love it.

The controls would be perfect if they just used the FFT style of drag and tap any where. It has the drag, but you need to tap an A button rather than just tapping naturally after the drag. TBH it's bugging me so much I'm tempted to send a begging message to the dev.

I played through CoH once on the DS and that was enough. I was hoping for more levels, more variety or a multiplayer mode (unlikely).

Even some in-game acheivements might have enticed me to play again.

Oh, cool. I liked Puppy Panic a lot, haven't played Unstoppable Fist yet.

I literally can't control Cthulhu. I agree that it is a charming, funny and cute rpg, and I am enjoying it. But...
This game has the worst controls in a 2d plane that I have ever encountered. I can't make my character walk 7 steps in the same direction. It is frustrating as hell. IMO it needs a static virtual pad.
edit: Playing on an ipad.

Why isn't Clash of Heroes wide screen? It was wide screen, right? I forget.

Yes, on PC. But image is 1024x768 (well, double that, but it's 4:3), not a widescreen resolution. Maybe if you turn the device it can switch sorta?

Why is Multiplayer unlikely? I don't expect more levels or variety, but gamecenter with multi and achievements seems like minimal effort. Steam version had both those things iirc.

Rumored from a while ago, nice to see it finally make it. It looks significantly better on the PC, not blurry at all. Hopefully that's just a result of being an early screen. Great game, btw. Absolutely get this day 1 if you like puzzle games and have managed to somehow avoid it so far.

Still looks better than the DS version, which I thought was quite pretty. I'll definitely double dip. It was my personal DS GotY when it came out. And hell, it's about time on iOS. Cannot wait for it.

I thought summer was supposed to be the gaming-drought season...not that I'm complaining

*goes back to playing more Kingdom Rush*

Amazing Spider-Man is trash. And this is coming from someone who likes Total Mayhem.

Looks bad, framerate is all over the shop (iPad 2), voice work is terrible and the combat is worse than it was in the first game.

7 big ones I'll never see again. Oh well, you win some you lose some.

At least I'm enjoying Asphalt 7.

Oh, I didn't realize that later versions had online multiplayer. That's great news.

I don't really care for gamecenter achievements. I like mine to be in-game.

is gamecenter down?
i can't log into dragonvale! D:

what is this squid western thing under RPG?
i am intrigued by FFT comparison
but then they compared it to angry bird too...

Aw really? I heard the mobile Spiderman game was pretty good. Though I tend to trust one person on GAF more than 40 reviews on the app store.

I did hear the framerate was bad, but I guess I was hoping it ran well on the iPad 3, which it apparently doesn't.

Does swinging at least feel good? I'd honestly pay $7 just to swing around a fully-realized NYC on the go.

Swinging feels boring because there's no depth to it. I could swallow if the framerate was smooth, but it just ruins it. New York doesnt look great either. It's the least offensive part of the game because it works and Spidey's animations are nice, but I don't think it's worth it.

Tried to finish the game but I can't. I would rather play Total Mayhem again. What a hackjob.

But changing the subject, Dead Trigger is out now, along with a new trailer. Only 0.99 and a 116mb download.

Just picked up Dead Trigger, I'll be playing it thoroughly today and have some feedback on it. For 99 cents though its a snag!

Aaaaaw yeah downloading Dead Trigger! Shadowgun was great and Madfinger is incredible with the Unity engine, so looking forward to playing this.

Some more info / screens and a video at Eurogamer for Clash of Heroes. Nothing too great, but I did miss this little bit from the earlier link:

Big news, iOS and Android gamers: Ubisoft's Silver Award-winning Nintendo DS puzzle-RPG Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes is making its way to the App Store in the "near future", complete with "new online features".

Sounds like online multiplayer! And the Eurogamer link confirms it will support both iPhone/iPod and iPad, which is great.
