I'm actually disappointed by the Ketsui mashup. There's just too many systems at once because it's like every Ketsui system + every DDFK BL system all running at once. Keeping track of everything for scoring purposes is just too much for me and takes away the more simplistic Ketsui scoring system that makes it so good. I wish you could turn off all the BL stuff and just play Ketsui with DDFK stages using only the Ketsui scoring mode.
Otoh, I like BL itself from the little I played. Nothing game changing but the whole idea that you can kill things VERY quickly but at the expense of raising rank VERY fast is neat and lets you adjust the game's difficulty on the fly, which I'm always a fan of. On max rank even stage 1/2 are freaking psycho lololol.
Also the BL ost is pretty good even if I feel it doesn't fit the game. The Ketsui ost seems...I dunno. Only tried that mode a couple of times but I just wasn't feeling it too much.
Still they're solid additions, though they would've been a better deal at $15 DLC than a $50 disc
