Yeah, that was a miracle. I'm not sure if that was Johnson (thought it was Chatman), but the only reason that Asomugha didn't get beat was because he was 5 yards off the line. Or else, that would have been a TD.

In any event, it was almost the perfect call because of my aggressiveness, yet it didn't pay because of pure luck. :\

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to side with Natural on this one....

From my read of the transcript that Truelize decided to air out, Natural did all the right things with respect to working behind the scenes to get the game done. If I were chasing somebody down for three weeks to play them and they decided to up and quit; I think anyone would be a little bit pissed off about it.

Regarding the personal bits, True tried to make the correlation between his inability to play his game citing the need to spend time with his family, frustration and the fact he doesn't enjoy the game; Natural provided a stinging yet fair retort that spoke to the reality of the situation. As someone that has incurred the wrath of Truelize for "running up the score" and not being "sportsmanlike" to watching him literally quit mid-game in the NBA 2K league and quit the Madden league last year in similar fashion; I think Natural is on to something when he suggests that maybe it's not a bad idea to skip league play if you have the inclination you wont finish. Many of those same considerations of why you quit last year were the same ones you're communicating now.

Not to air you out Truelize, but I felt there was a serious lack of balance in conveying the situation as I feel loyalties and tenure has got in the way of a fair discussion about the drama. Despite what I wrote here, I still consider you a friend where we can tell each other how we feel and dust it off and still shoot the shit. Hopefully we can continue being cool...

Really my issue is that we all join up here to play some football and take control of a virtual representation of our teams. I love that, a lot of us here love that. I love playing "football" with you guys, it's awesome. I win some, I lose some, no biggie it's a lot of fun and I thoroughly enjoy the challenges and chess matches. That's what makes our rag tag bunch a lot of fun. I don't understand people that dodge playing each other, people that bend the rules to get unfair advantages, and people that commit half of the amount of time to play in a league instead of the full amount - that's a waste of time to everyone on their schedule. Say that I take this too seriously, but there's a reason that we forgive Tiburon's short comings, go out to get the game before street release, and practice for hours on end.

Yeah. My main issue is that this year's league started very late, so there was plenty of time to know whether you liked the game or not, whether you would have the time, whether you wanted to enter stats or not, etc.

We have a lot of players that are committed to playing their games, though. That's the silver lining. I know it seems like half the league isn't playing, but it's just a few people (I count only 3 of the players left) that are unwilling or unable.

If there's a season 2, it should go much smoother. I was thinking about some things that we could do to spice it up, too!

No but I did PM you 2 weeks ago about a game and never heard a peep from you and posted multiple times to get your attention and never heard anything. Just finished a fantastic defensive game against LJ....... I really should get sportsmanship points for saying that, considering the HUGE CHOKE INT I threw in the closing minutes.

It was a vintage defensive struggle, and really nice to just play a good game, after all the negative vibes in this thread lately. My last game (against Ramirez) was an exciting shootout, and this was a totally different game, but just as exciting.

It really feels like I'm winning or losing because of my intelligence level this year. I made some dumb overly safe play calls and bad decisions and I lost because of that.

We paused with him running the clock down, and I entered in my stats. I forgot that I could just quit after I was done without kicking him out of the game. So yeah, if it's not down to the last play, people, pause...record your stats, and when done, quit out, don't wait to resume

And don't think I'm high on the game just because of my winning record. I gave up my division lead with this loss. But I play for the same reasons CK does, and I recognize a good game when I play in one.

Yeah I quit midgame when you had 48 points with Kobe and were up by over 35 and were making sure you only scored with him so you could pad your scoring average stats. You even said at the start of the game that you were going for 70 with him. Not really the model citizen you make yourself sound like.

Wellie: You are totally right man. I said those things and got all wrapped up in the hype. The videos looked awesome, the gaf hype engulfed me. I even had the game before any of you all did. And then I could never get anyone to play against. I asked several times in a thread for PSN names for people too. My schedule just wasn't working I guess.
Heck I even got a mobile QB and an amazing RB. Super excited. Then I started playing the game,,, and,,,, it feels like the exact same game to me. It's me man. I just don't "get" Madden anymore. I have no clue why but I'm horrible at it. And it's super frustrating playing the game when you struggle with it this much. And even more frustrating when I have to sit there and enter stats afterward.

And I read the rules. And I was sure that I would make it through the season. Sure of it. But I overestimated myself. I love playing with you guys. I hope and dream that I'll do something worth being mentioned in the weekly stuff. Or even move up in the ratings once or twice. It's awesome being part of the community and that is what I enjoy so much.
Guys I figured it would work out. It hasn't.



But if it's this big of a deal I'll play the 11 games and be done with Madden. I have my team back.
There are several people here that I have quite a bit of respect for and if leaving the league upsets them this much then I'm gonna finish my games out and be done with Madden.
And yes I understand that I'm giving my word.

Yeah, that was great game Fifty, most fun I've had all season long I think. Felt the game was trying to screw you in the second half with some of those penalties, and your oline wasn't helping the cause. Really tight game, with some trickery to boot. When you flipped Reed on that pass intend for Hardy, I had no idea he was there. Would have checked to a different receiver if I knew Reed was hanging over the top, good call on your part. Thought I was going to blow it, but that int with ~2 minutes left was the killer.

Seriously, that game is the reason why I play in this league, doesn't get better than that. Felt like I needed a cigarette after the game.
