omg. really. anyone else getting a headache when spinning the camera around and around?
Mr. Wonderful said:I thought XIII is supposed to be the evolution of Crisis Core's battle system. After playing the game today and reading Jeremy Parish's blog post during GDC, I can now fully see it in the screens from E3 2006, and how it's supposed to be acrobatic, like a movie, in combat.

I expected more of a 3 but they made valid positives and negatives just the negatives weighted more too them.Alex said:Even as an FFVII detractor I'd say that Xplay review is nothing short of fucking mind boggling. But whatever, I'm fucking tired of bitching about RPG reviews, I just flat out give up.
Isn't the regular NA version just the regular JP flipcover? and the Best Buy version the LE JP cover?Same here. Glad that the US version is the JP LE cover.
Kagari said:I bought 2 for great justice. (Japanese and US versions)
jjasper said:Looks like this (same as the one in the OT just all silver). And yes I did.
Edit: Looks like it is Best Buy only. According to this

Skilletor said:I dunno what the Best Buy cover is, but the one I got (from gamestop) is the cover that came with the Crisis Core psps. The normal cover (that my JP version has) is the cloud pose redux in front of Midgar.
BuckRobotron said:Been watching this curiously from a distance. FFVII wasn't my favorite of the series (occupying the middle somewhere in my FF rankings) and what I could stomach of the movie almost killed my interest in anything FF7 from then on...
But this is really looking and sounding good and that $10 coupon at CC helps essentially keep me in that self-imposed "$30-max" zone for PSP/DS games.
Picking it up tomorrow.
Clock is about 9 & 1/2 or so hours in at start of chapter 4. Done lots of missions and less of the main game. Burnt out at the moment though.Tiktaalik said:How many hours in are folks at the moment?

Evander said:Can't wait to run into Aeris.
Mejilan said:They "Aerith"ed her up now! ;p
Evander said:Did they really?
god fucking dammit
Mejilan said:I put the game down after an hour and have returned to FFVII (on the PSP, not the PS3, so NYAH!!) ;p

lol, I don't think I ever looked inside the case. I took out the UMD, put it in my psp and never looked back. I would have flipped it around :(.
You are exactly correct. I feel foolish.
Mejilan said:Remote play is hideous. Native playback is bliss! ;p
Evander said:I can play my PS1 games anywhere I have wifi, and I don't have to take up any memory card sdpace, or mess with the hassles of flashing and updating (not to mention waiting for new releases of) custom firmwares.
To each their own, but for me, this way makes me much happier.
For me the name Aerith sounds like it ends suddenly and hard. At least that is why I like Aeris better.Zoe said:Why is "Aerith" such a bad thing? I always liked the way it sounded softer.
Evander said:I'm not a fan of revisionist history.
I liked the character a lot in the original game, and I hate when they change characters that I've grown attatched to.
I don't give a shit what her original name was in Japan, or any of that crap.
Mejilan said:Bought 2!
Tiktaalik said:I'm only two hours in but the story is already so bizarre, confusing and terrible that I'm regretting everything. I feel like FF7 didn't hit the crazy button until half way through disk 2. In that game they at least built up setting and characters and stuff. This seems to be drama straight from the get go.
Does it get better?
Edit: The gameplay and fanservice though is awesome. The remix of the classic victory song is great.
