The game is fantastic, Crisis Core I mean, and after playing about 2 hours of it I actually appreciate the gameplay.

It's not nearly as good as the gameplay in Kingdom Hearts or Eternal Sonata, but for the PSP: it's quite satisfying.

Finally got it :)
Played for a few hours and man, it meets all my expectations. The CG movies are awesome. The combat is fun and fast, and its really nice thats the random battles take place in the field. Animation is top notch and I think Zack is really funny protagonist. Can't wait for the story to unfold so gonna play some more :)

game is fuck awesome. the best looking FF game i've played to date...if only ff12 was this much fun. but the battle system is totally confusing the hell out of me though...is it just me, or are things (level ups, limits, materia/spell upgrades) completely random? thats kinda...iffy...

Can someone please explain to me the nature of/mechanics/purpose/who-thought-it-was-a-good-idea-to-constantly-interrupt-my-gameplay-with-random-uncontrollable-spinning-wheel slot thing? I don't even know what it is, except it dictates when I can do special moves and it constantly interrupts the flow of my battles. It seems to add less fun. Juries still out on how I feel about that piece. Everything else is cool so far.

And please don't respond with 'whats wrongz wit u dood its so cool teh ff7'

Has anyone had any successful materia fusions?

We should post all the combinations that yield rare or strong items.

Yeah, materia fusion get introduce about 3-4 hours into the game. basically you start by combining small level materia with other small lvl ones, and slowly increased their power.
materia is type- lvl -side effect (etc.mag +1). type can fuse to be chage, lvl can't. materia with similar side effect can be stack. sometimes ordering can change a fused materia, so experiment a little.

I got my dark Thundaga by fusing stating with fire and posion i think.. it it becomes dark fire..slowly but sure after alot more fusion it will get there...

Got a master darkness command materia that has +160%HP, use 0 mp, 5% hp, area damage 5000 is really cool :D

its random but you can influence it. DMW starts when both pictures on the side are match. try to match all three pictures by pressing x when all 3 pictures matches. i'll been getting around 80% success with this.

the numbers are indepentdent of the pictures in DMW mode. you cannot control these numbers.
777 level you up, i don't thinks this is random, it apears more likely when you kill alot of monster.
2 of the same number level the materia in the corresponding slot.

as far as i know, summon are totally random. its fun when you think of it as a mini game during battle. maybe a slot machine 0_o?

Been playing this a bit, and the main impression I'm coming away with is that the soundtrack is incredibly awesome. Definitely going to pick that up.

The game's fun to play, too, but I keep doing the side missions. Need to get back into the main game at some point :D

I just lost on the second battle against
Sephiroth.
Now I have to watch all the cutscenes again and go through the first battle again. :(

Finally arrived in the mail, but I am wanting to go through FFVII beforehand first.

Is that a smart decision or should I just go through Crisis Core regardless?

sequence sent chills down my back, seriously. The last time I played FFVII was probably in 2003, but I still remember some of the same mannerisms and camera angles.

I think I'm getting close to the end, I'm not sleeping until I beat it tonight.

Its not that really I was just so shocked to see

That she is wearing that slutty outfit, with her entire midsection showing off. I know it is faithful to the original game, but goddamn, I don't want that kind of fanservice. While she is more proportionally accurate compared to her FF7 iteration, she is still way too top heavy.

I wonder how they hell will they do the FF7 remake if they keep making Tifa more and more slutty with each iternation.

I must say that one of the best new characters is
Cissnei, I take it that since she makes no appearances after Gogonga that she dies or something, right?

The Final Fantasy VII remixes are pretty good. They need to get this guy back to do the music when they remake Final Fantasy VII.

The Reunion Files book? Just double checked, but nope, not in it. Does have a couple of the other ones from this set though.

A few of them came as post-cards in the Advent Children Limited Edition set.

in that artbook you was asking about, has some really HQ pics of these images. Zack Fair, Older Zack, Cloud, Aeries. It's pretty hot :)

Because I would definitely stomach paying $35 for it if it had all that FF7 art, and I know one of the recently released artbooks had the art in it.

I hate those set of pictures because they did not take the chance of putting Barret in his old outfit. Same new outfit twice! just one with Marlene and one without.

I've only seen the FF13 related pages from Cloud, so i have no idea what's the FF7 contents. sounds like Kagari/G23 might know though

Just picked up my copy tonight. Bah Canadian versions don't have the inside cover art, it's just white :(. Anybody have a high resolution version so I can print my own?

If they got her remake look looking like that wallscroll, it'd be perfect. It's not like her chest is sticking down to her stomach or anything, so I don't get the proportion comment.

I'm at the part with Angeal in Mobehiem(sp?), haven't fought him yet though. This is ym first FFVII game and I'm really loving it...but it's fucking depressing knowing the ending already and little things like Angeal saying to Zack: "You're a little bit more important than my sword...but just a little. Haha" Made me want to cry *Tears*

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
