I have a few friends who are black with white girlfriends and claim the only people who give them dirty looks are black females. They admit that they've had some passive aggressive altercations with white males(jealousy), but the only group who actually flat out harasses them are the black women(elderly being the worst offenders).

I'm curious to hear from those who are black with non-black girlfriends and have sisters/female cousins. Are their sisters willing to date outside of their race or do they prefer to stick with their own kind? It's possible that they don't venture outside from their race because girls tend to get more parental pressure than boys do.

Hispanic comes Hispania, not Hispaniola. And Puerto Rico isn't even on Hispaniola. I've never heard anyone ever use Hispanic as a way to identify Dominicans and Haitians. Hispanic is essentially a way to refer to people from the Americas that speak Spanish as their primary language, or a least that's how it's used in the US.

This is how the United States Census describes them. Hispanic encompasses Spanish speaking people of the carribean which includes Dominican, Puerto Rican and Cuban. It does not include haitians.

Because black men find white women attractive, whereas I would say (just anecdotal but if you disagree feel free to) the number of white men attracted to black women is less (although I am one that does), so maybe black women feel like they are losing out when they see a black man dating outside of his race.

Anecdotes to anecdotes, you'd usually hear "Sell-out" or some form of stabbing the entire race in the back for hooking up with a person outside of the race party.

I've always been up for whoever. But I noticed that black women don't buy what I'm selling. Where as korean, japanese, mexican, white, indian, native american, swedish all seem to have 0 problem. Affluent black women don't seem to be as warm to black men as they do white men. But i think at that point, they've given up on blackmen. As I saw it, they dated a bunch of knuckleheads -- where I was the 'nerd' at the time. By the time they realize that knuckleheads are bad, they are dating outside of their race. Associating it with bad black men. Kinda sucks, but as long as people are happy. Well.. there you go.

We're dating because we are the same. We don't look at race, we look at each other. It's ridiculous to base your relationship on whether the person is of the same ethnicity as you.

This I don't. Criticism of it is fine. I don't think their criticism (again assuming that's what they're doing) makes sense for it as is because they seem to be completely misunderstanding what's being said (ie "This is what you should or shouldn't be doing black males!" and saying he assumes all black dudes date white women as status symbols when he's literally saying the opposite).

nah the second post from angelus you quoted is expressing the same thing I am, that he done a little more with what he wrote by providing some much needed context the the issue he's presenting. it would come off as pseudo intellectual bs from an insecure brother with that.

When I was younger, my thinking was that black men were more likely to cheat or leave their women with kids and all. First example was my father who has many children outside of his marriage with my mother. Not to mention deadbeat dads I saw on maury are mainly black.

Then I wanted to date black men only, and one month into dating, I find out my ex bf is italian/black. Lol that was a shock cause the guy is darker than me. In all now that Im older, I dont care, but I'm very careful not be a guy's 'sex bucket list'.

Which is good, because my genetic makeup makes it pretty hard for me not to be in an interracial relationship in most scenarios.
