My aunt & uncle run a Mom & Pop store, "The Gamecube Hut", and sold 80k WiiU within minutes of opening.
with just a few days left NO SPOILER LEAKS Ubisoft!

or everyone just hates that logo :p

I actually think it looks sweet when mixed in with all the other platform logos.

And one thing is sure, it will be very easy to spot whenever its flashed at the end of commercials.

Playing Love Plus doesn't get you any closer to the second dimension. Sorry, you'll always be one dimension apart from your waifu.

I wouldn't dream of playing Love Plus. Although there is humor to be found in those who do.

Although really, I mean it as they are separate. Not because one is more important than the other.

Hmmm

Xbox has it's Live log, Playstation has the SEN logo, but no Nintendo Network :p

that is the first new place I saw it this week but I am biased to say it brings a smile to my face to see it so of course its the best logo there

Sadist is right we need a NiN logo

We also need a new abbreviation for nintendo network because I think of the nine inch nails every time I see NiN. I suggest simply NN.

Wasn't Lords of Shadow 2 supposed to be on the Wii U too?

I can't recall any hints about it coming out on WiiU, either way we'll know in just a few days, although I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

By the way afaik they actually didn't show any actual gameplay footage of it, besides I have been very impressed upon watching new Metal gear game's teaser and as for now seems to have a huge potential and I would take it over Lords of shadow 2 honestly, as much as none of them will probably hit WiiU in the short period.

I'm not sure I follow you here. I suspect you're being facetious about something, but I can't quite tell. ..Unless in all seriousness you just shot down a fundamental principle of contemporary cryptography, just because some vendor screwed up with their particular implementation of random functions. But given how you neglected half of what I wrote (a temporary, just-for-E3 key), I still think you're just being facetious.

I think what he's getting at is that the units can run software signed with a temporary key, but only from the disc drive. It's quite possible that whatever chip that handles security in each Wii U has a unique private key hard-coded in it and will only run software off SD cards or hard-drives when encrypted with the corresponding public key*, regardless of how it's signed. Hence developers can bring discs with software they've signed to E3, but SD cards or HDDs would require the software to be encrypted for an individual unit, and Nintendo may want to avoid that for the sake of simplicity (eg if any of the units break down).

*I use standard terminology when referring to a "public key" here, but of course each unit's public key would actually be held privately by Nintendo.

Huh? A QA unit looks almost exactly like a retail unit. It's been like this for some time now.

Current Wii U dev kits (outside Nintendo at least) aren't in the same form factor as the final retail units. Unless the final form factor is a big ugly box without a Blu-Ray drive, that is.
You people asked for a redesign :p

But it's such a good logo D:

People made an assumption that LOS2 was a shoe in since the leadin is on the 3DS. Not saying there is no WiiU version but it wouldn't be totally un3rd party like to try and take advantage of the handheld and totally jip the console owners.

soooooo, was out of the office.
Has something impotant happened since yesterday?
I doubt it but I have to ask?!

Is there only that LucasArts confirmation that they release a new StarWars 1313 game for console TBA?? Have seen that in internet news.

Lucasarts basically trolled everyone. They announced the game and then showed nothing with a tune in Monday to see gameplay.

I've been wondering about this Cloud Gaming thing
the Wii U being a good gap weaker than upcoming consoles could be fixed if it supported one of those companies

but then again with cloud gaming the only limit is broadband limits/caps any hardware can be made to use the network with software. I wonder if it could turn out to kill console makers in the long term

Wastes hours checking old Famitsu software data, but that's why we love him.

I think the original Los2 rumour specifically mentioned a Wii U version.

I think ISPs coming in and demanding a cut of the profits is gonna be an issue and the eventual launch by ISPs of their own services. We see it now with Streaming movies and TV. Comcast has its service that uses no monthly bandwidth meanwhile if you use hulu, netflix etc you use up a ton of bandwidth.

ISPs will get involved and work to penalize people not using something they are making money from so Sony,MS,Nintendo would end up having to either face limitations or playball with ISPs and pay up

From todays CVG article

AIN'T NO PARTY LIKE A NINTENDO THIRD PARTY

Did you know Satoru Iwata's E3 press conferences are rehearsed against old tapes of David Copperfield magic shows? Oh well look again. One minute he's on stage reminiscing about HAL Laboratories and with a sudden puff of smoke he's holding a future console in his hands. One moment he's talking about market demographics and pie charts, the next he's materialising John Riccitiello and his silver hair down from a magnificent thread of light.

Never underestimate Iwata's capacity for legerdemain. This year he has something big under his sleeve in the form of major third-party publisher support. Ubisoft and EA will be biggest cheerleaders, we hear, and if Activision isn't doing a Skyanders Wii U game we can only presume it has become bored of money. Valve, though, is the big question. One CVG writer is convinced the PC kingpin has struck a deal, due in part to Nintendo's new digital distribution manifesto. Others say that's a trick too far.

man that sounds so easy to get painted into a corner with this crap limits

I think technology to change this maybe slow to change like gasoline in cars
if someone came up with a way to get rid of the bandwidth issue these ISP guys would want to find ways to block that venture

If say someone like Google came out with a cap free ISP this could change the trend like they did with web based email storage

can you imagine Nintendo's full IP library sitting on the cloud to click and play?
eShop without no downloads

While it's not Wii U related, I think people are forgetting that we are most likely going to see the next entry in Zelda for the 3DS. For reference, Phantom Hourglass was shown off at E3 07, Spirit Tracks in 09.

With things shaping up the way they are, Nintendo will have their strongest showing at E3 since 2006. Take 2006's Wii reveal, buzz and game demonstrations and pair that with the 2010's game-after-game announcements. That's what to expect from Nintendo this year. Not to mention some pretty heavy hitters for the 3DS like Zelda above, New Super Mario Bros 2, Pokemon Black & White 2 (yes, I know this is for DS, but they'll posture it as something for the 3DS as well) and Nintendo's outline of its Nintendo Network implementation and partnership with a certain external developer.

It's going to be quite special.
