THEATRHYTHM Final Fantasy Announced for 3DS...

This is the next Dissidia. Take a look at the logo: Chaos and Cosmos.
Nomura said the hypothetic next game would be different. Indeed...

The game has been register in Europe few weeks ago.

The name has got to be a self-aware joke at their ridiculous latin titles of late, right? right???

Like when Capcom made Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo.

"Fuck you Square, you never do anything different"

Square does something different.

"Fuck you Square this is stupid"

When we say different, we mean make good games and release things fans would want.

This is fucking hilarious though.

I mean, it's not a true Final Fantasy game, but it still sounds awesome.

Scenario A: This game sells poorly
Square: "I guess that means there's no market for Final Fantasy games on the 3DS!" *Square abandons all 3DS development*
Scenario B: This game sells well because 3DS owners want to show Square that there's a market for real Final Fantasy games on the 3DS.
Square: "I guess that means 3DS owners only want rhythm games!" *Square Enix announces THATETRHYTHM 2: Kingdom Hearts Mix, cancels all other 3DS projects in development*

As long as I get my Noctis dress-up game on one of the handhelds, I'm good.

Final stage is FF VI's opera scene.

BELIEVE!
Oh God. Don't get me hyped like that. I know that won't happen.

You know what? If this is as awesome as Ouendan, TWEWY and EBA, count me in. I'll be all over this, especially with FF music. It would have been interesting if they had included some stuff from other IPs like Chrono, Mana and DQ. But alas... it's a parody of Dissidia, it looks like.

Square: "I guess theres a market for Final Fantasy titles."
*Anounces mainline FF game*
*never releases it*

Not even the randomizer could've come up with this one. You just can't out-squeenix squeenix.
I clicked on it and got Front Mission Dream VIAGRA. I wouldn't put it past them.

EDIT: Just got "Dissidia Asymptote Errata: RE:Coded". Don't lie. You thought it was a real game.

Bad Square! Bad! Take these 12 team members and put them on Versus!

You know, though...I'll probably play this.

This is relevant to my interests.

I love rhythm games, and I have a feeling this could be good.

"Theatrhythm" is one hard word to say, though.

So much hate - people act as if the KH Team has been workin on this title for the last 5 years. It sounds interesting......

No Chrono game but fucking dancing final fantasy.

This is why your bleeding money Square

Ha. That's exactly my point. The Layton Generator was way funnier because it came up with titles that were flat-out ridiculous. The Squeenix generator's names more often than not sound like something Squeenix might actually consider, so it tends to be less funny and more sobering.

Trademarks were also registered in North America, so don't worry about it not coming over.
this is one piece of copyright i think square-enix are probably safe from anyone trying to infringe upon

Rhythm games rock. People need to stop crying. The scan looks awesome.

It looks like Dissidia on drugs.

Wow, Square-Enix continues to put Final Fantasy / Dragon Quest / Kingdom Hearts name into every game they make. Amazing. I can imagine a lot of people NOT wanting this game.

Somehow this has me interested. Rhythm game is one of my favourite kind of game. Coupled with past Final Fantasy music? Almost sold!

I don't really see the oddity in this having the Final Fantasy title

I mean, it's a fanservice game. The entire core concept is hitting fan nostalgia buttons.

The funny thing about being diffrent is you don't actually know how it will turn out.

And who the hell knows what fans want.

And here I was hoping for a FF VI remake or some shit. So much for reading.

Jokes aside, it doesn't sound...horrible. I'll keep my eye on it but I'm not feeling it.

shoulda just called it Dancing Mad

Also, if it plays like EBA with Final Fantasy music, I'd be all over it. Unfortunately, none of us are anywhere near that lucky.
