China uses it to spy on users by gathering information like location, faces, profiles, etc, which can be used in turn to access their information on other platforms. The Chinese government has a cyber security law that can force chinese companies to hand over information at any time. They must comply. This is a huge security concern on the international market. Also china has banned a multitude of apps/sites within their country. They cry foul while being asshats

Ever since I watched that movie on Netflix called the Social Dilemma my opinion on social media and all these side platforms is even more negative than before.
