Damn...that sucks to hear.

I remember he was in the news not that long ago over the whole podcast mess with Stone Cold.

RIP

Rest in Peace.

Gotta say tho, 61? he's got it good in the context of being a wrestler, isn't the proffessional wrestler life expectancy at, like, 50?

RIP.

I know most people will use They Live as the go-to film example, but he was a lot of fun in Hell Comes to Frogtown, too.

He was the badguy every wrestler wishes they could become. There was no one better and he never once had the championship.

Amazingly the man has turned his life around. DDP has done miracle work with Hall and Jake

hall not so much I think he is still struggling with addiction

Just curious, but how old is Ric Flair?

I feel like all of my favorites from back in the day are leaving, it really sucks. Warrior, Savage, Owen. I'm sure I'm missing a few, but damn.

The news of Piper's death is like a coconut shot to the heart. RIP Hot Rod.

I was waiting all week for his next podcast episode. :(

Yeah I think Hall has too much trouble trying to stay away from the lifestyle that brings him close to all his vices. Jake on the other hand seems to have retreated into the arms of his in the past distant family. Makes a big difference.

Imagine if major league baseball had this many stars die so young.

The person in charge would be fired, and there would be an investigation and court hearings until new, harsh regulations were put into place to keep the athletes healthy.

He had one episode after a year sober, which he corrected and got back on track. At the very worst, he gave into the temptation ONCE and made sure he doesn't do it again. And of course, everyone says he's a failure for this one instance. FFS. That isn't how kicking addictions work.

Poor kid

...what's left of Bobby Heenan. He is looking rough.

Rough is an understatement, man lost his jaw and tongue to cancer thanks to his chew habit, not to mention the injuries around his home he seems to have every six to twelve months over the last several years.

"Sad to hear of the passing of Roddy Piper. Back in the WWF days, he once worked 91 straight nights in a row - that's 91 different towns - without a day off. I tapped out at 63 nights in a row. Roddy was true athlete and a wonderful friend. I am glad to have known him. Without him, the WWE would not be what it is today. He will be greatly missed."

Jesse Ventura's thoughts.

In regards to the relatively young age of death, I'm pretty sure that 91 nights in a row... Well, do I really have to say it?
