It's only been a crap shoot since about the beginning of the year, before that they were excellent. It does piss me off though how they go out of their way to say wednesday at 2pm and then I get there at 3:30 and they never got it.

Just picked up my copy from EB. I have to eat with the ms's friends tonight =( At least I have tomorrow off!

After hearing about the ranger.. er commando being hard, I think that’s who Im going to start with. Never planned out my character, I think I will be pumping the first and ballistic stat up to 10 to start. It made the demo a cake walk.


I forgot to ask but did those who picked it up EB ask how the game was selling? A couple days ago mine had 8 preorders.

Yea,, I'm wondering when the shipments hit as my local Gamestop almost always has MS games on the Tuesday. However the manager was telling me there was something they have to do for the shipment to be that way normally. Anyhow, may want to check back there later or at an GS, TRU, Wal-Mart.

The gamestop near my house better have it... it's 3x the drive to the next place that does have it (there's a walmart that's close but I do my best not to give them money). If I do get it tonight I might broadcast myself playing on justin.tv (i'll post in this thread if I do).

Damn, this game is awesome so far. I'm having a lot of fun trying to keep my combo meter up because that increases chances of better loot. Just beat the first boss, the bastard hit me when his life was low which reset my combo meter... i could have done it if I didn't forget to use the Ruiners.

So far, not that many hammer/shield weapons have dropped for my Defender, so I've been using swords and staffs.

The music is definitely one of the highlights of the game.

I'm a little disappointed that the menu navigation speed wasn't improved upon from the demo, but that doesn't take away from the rest of the game.

Can't wait to finish SP and move on to co-op.

Picked it up from TRU after class today. It was $49.99 in store, just like online. Add in the BOGO 1/2 off sale that allowed me to finally pick up Bioshock (LTTP, I know lol) and it was quite the deal.

It feels odd to have a game in front of me that I've been waiting to play since Spaceworld 2000.

I had to stop entering the room i think he is in,i'm level 9 now,playing as a Champion and i have a few runed sloted gear,i'm going fire damage side for the skills,also added a few points in ranged damage...I died more then in the demo oddly enough but now I have a good feel of the rightstick fighting and all so I'll give the Boss a shot after supper...

Don't forget to spoil tag some of the Boss fights tips at first guys also please :)....i'm loving the game by the way so far.

It isn't? I was under the impression from an older post that it was faster in the retail version. Goddamnit...

Okay, so I have some extra money and I almost picked this up this evening but I balked in light of the whole fallout is making me think its really worse than it really is. I'm hoping that reading this will sway me one way or the other.

Got the game at my local EB on lunch, talked it up with my co-op partner all afternoon. Got home, popped in the disc, made it to the title screen, pressed Up to create a character and BAM! RROD. :'(

Please continue posting impressions, at least I can live vicariously through you guys until my box comes back...

I think I'm going to order from a bigger store next time I preorder a title. The one on the Avenue is fairly new and it isn't the first time this has happen. They only stock the big triple A titles.

Man, I wish the TRU in Vegas were like that. I went in one today (to also see about the buy one get one 50% deal) and like always, they have the shittiest game section in the world. Nothing remotely new. To make matters worse they had two dinosaur women working the counter in the game section. Why they needed two people to man that suck fest...I don't know. I then went to Comp USA across the street. I made it to the door only to notice that the place was gutted and being turned into a different store altogether.

I finally went to Best Buy, they had it. I hope this game does well. I usually don't give a shit either way (it's video games after all) but after all this crazy fist pumping by the uber nerds and the wacky hatred towards Dyack, I'm praying this sells like viagra. I hope to see some of you online. This has actually been one of the most civil threads I have seen on this forum in a long time.

Oh yeah I got my game for 25 bucks via TRU too.

On the first boss....

man that was a really lame fight........annoying flying guys who you can ignore and if you die you just respawn right there no penaltys

Having a lot of fun though. Oh I'm having trouble previewing gear though -_-

EDIT: Ah hold down select to preview gear, whoops.

Also, when I use one, is it gone?

And dude, what the fuck, even the lowest level Berserker after you level up like fucking one level is fast as fucking shit.

Seriously, this game is a fucking blast, man.

Agreed. 1 hour in, and the game is a blast. A little smoother then the demo, and I am not having near the amount of issues with the camera as I thought I would from the demo.

Glad I picked it up

Well guys I just tried to update the OP with some more gamertags and several more review scores, but the forum won't take it -- apparently, the OP has reached critical mass. :lol Right now I took the gamertags off (don't worry, they're backed up on my computer and will be put back soon) so I could see if it would work at all.

So! Let's have a vote. What should I drop from the OP in favor of putting your precious gamertags back in? [maniacal laugh] never mind ill just take the damn prima tips off

Having a lot of fun with the game. Judging by some of the reviews, you think it would be a steaming turd. But it's a very good game with a few problems. I hope it sells well. It seems to be getting decent sales in my area, anecdotally.

I love love LOVE the customizable coloured runes, coupled with the "display mode" when you leave the cotroller alone for a few minutes...the gear looks so fuckin rad.

I'll have to wait for the wife to get home and then I can take some screen caps of how awesome my defender looks.

the cyberscape drags a bit (and by a bit, I mean alot) but that's my ONLY complaint so far.

Actually...one other one.

No in-game screenshots.

So if one were to go to Toys R Us, and buy a $60 360 game & Too Human at $25 under their buy one get second half off deal; would one be able to return the $60 game and keep their $25 copy of Too Human?
