nope. remaster = sprucing up an existing game's graphics, with some tweaks, but it's largely the same game. remake = complete overhaul of everything, remade from the ground up. ie. REmake = remake. TLoU Remastered = remaster.
having said that,
Remasters:
1) Bioshock - this should be relatively easy. just port the pc release at max settings. matter of fact they should do this for infinite as well.
2) MGS1 - just the pc release at 1080p/60 with better textures, maybe some lighting improvements and the like. leave everything else untouched
3) Mass Effect 1/2/3 - as with bioshock, just give me a maxed out pc port
Remakes:
1) RE2 - give it the REmake treatment
2) Super Metroid - keep it 2D or 2.5D and just make it look amazing. added abilities, bosses, a NG+ would be nice as well.
3) Wizards and Warriors - as a souls-like game, but with an emphasis on platforming
3. Gravity Rush I suppose. I've got it on the Vita and love it, but ever since that listing of a remaster leaked, I can't escape all those thoughts of how truly awesome it would be on the PS4.
How funny, Halo 1-4 are on one disc and can be played on dedis already.1. Halo 1-4 done by a competent team like Bluepoint. imagine playing these games all from one disc on ded servers
3) Wizards and Warriors - as a souls-like game, but with an emphasis on platforming
2. Dynasty Warriors 3/4/5 with all addons. Would keep me busy for an eternity.
# 1 - Shenmue - Really want to play it for the first time but I don't have a Dreamcast and I neve managed to properly setup a Dreamcast emulator.
# 2 - Mass Effect - One of my favorite franchises of the last-gen. Would love to replay ME1 and 2 in 1080p/60fps and with some better textures.
# 3 - Final Fantasy VII - Never played it, the orignal version feels to dated now.
I was just thinking about this franchise yesterday. It was huge at one point. All my school friends loved Ironsword.
I wish someone would resurrect it. I don't even know who owns the IP at this point; it was published by Acclaim, whose licenses are scattered to the four winds, but it was originally developed by Rare.
Oooh, I like that. Gotta add in free camera-control though.
Ya know! They should make a God of War Quadrilogy(1,2,3 Ascension) using ascensions engines and assets.
