Heh. Well, apparently my company has a new building next year near the Distillery anyways, and I can walk there in about 45 min from my place with 15 min via TTC...'when it works....

I shouldn't be complaining since I know others here don't have aj ob and are looking. However, I'm kind of stuck and just weighing everything together right now.
The pay is less, but there's more stability and any restructuring they've had (and they've had quite a few) they don't lay people off; they move them around. On the other hand, no bonuses and raises are for inflation only. Still, the company is big and there are a lot of women there, so there's constantly mat leave and lots of positions opening up to try stuff.
It's not the top 5 of the companies I'd like to work there, though it's still up there...

Hey guys, so I honestly managed to surprise myself by getting the number of a cute waitress at a bar I went to last Friday, and we've been chatting a little here and there (mostly because of her hectic work schedule, which I understand)
I was wondering, for a first date, I'm hoping to find a nice coffeeshop that serves decent baked goods (a healthier variety than Starbucks), and if the weather is nice go skating at Nathan Phillips Square. Anything you can think of nearby that would fit that description? Admittedly, I would like to do Wanda's Pie In The Sky (never been, myself), but driving is always a pain and I'd rather find one spot I can stay in until I leave, and it's about a 25 minute walk. She and I both live too far out of the city for us to really take the TTC in; not to mention I at least have very poor sense of direction and wouldn't want to get us lost.

I have some friends coming over tonight that wanted to play Fifa Soccer. So I go to the EA website and buy the PC version which is just a download.
they email me this:

WOW great! 24 to 48 hours until I'm allowed to download the game I just paid for! So awesome! That will come in handy for me in 2 hours when my friends get here!

Edit: also went to Uncle Tetsu yesterday and they seems to have smartened up or the demand has lowered. I saw the cafe had a few of the regular cheesecakes and the regular place had a very minimal line up. They also sell that ball shaped cheesecake now and if you only want that, there's no wait; you can just tell them and you can get it. Now that I think about it though, the girl working the counter was also a bit more efficient as well, so it could've been that. Either way, you shouldn't have to wait too long for the stuff anymore.
