We're still trying to get out of Reagan's toxic economic bullshit practices and measures. What ever happens in the next 4-8 years will take decades to fix. It probably won't even be in our lifetimes. So much of the core issues are so ingrained, that it'll take a changes on the systemic level to actually get out of this mess we're in. Which is the truly the hard part.

Until Trump is either impeached or convicted of a serious crime, the average Republican will defend him. If either of the above ever happens, they'll suddenly act as if they never supported him.

trump is a marketing/pr genious. he does all these stupid shit so that people can spend days complaining about him. thing is: these people are those that never voted for him in the first place. they didnt even thought about doing so, not for a second. the people that got him elected are probably looking at this and saying 'haha wtf, why is everybody so angry at him? its just a joke' or 'but its true cnn hate him! go trump!', while he is passing all kinds of destructive bills in the congress, that do not get the attention they deserve becaues people are talking about Trump-Wrestling-CNN and covfefe.

For what it's worth, I think the biggest issue is getting people to protest in the proper locations. If people are protesting in NYC or LA, then they're not protesting where the politicians they're against are anyway.
