I wouldn't be surprised if this forum gets investigated at some point if posts like this keep being made. Especially after a real human being actually did shoot members of congress only days ago.
Elections have consequences. It wasn't even 10 years ago when Democrats controlled all branches of government and you're acting like you're the oppressed people of fucking Tibet.
What does your senator have to do with gerrymandering?
I, and people talking about a boiling point, are not advocating violence.
But desperate people make desperate decisions. The GOP is making life more desperate for anyone who isn't absurdly rich.
I mean, consider the copycat threats the same day of the shooting last week: one person who threatened a Republican senator's life literally used the AHCA as the reason these people have sold out the public for the rich and have lost any semblance of humanity. This isn't some cooky internet plan: people in this very country
literally feel this way. You know, the same country where there are a crazy amount of firearms...
In fact, why not read his words, as he did this via email?
"Did you NOT expect this? When you take away ordinary peoples very lives in order to pay off the wealthiest among us, your own lives are forfeit. Certainly, your souls and morality were lost long before. Good riddance"
We should always expect reason to win over futility and violence, but this depends on the parties at play actually starting out within reason. The GOP has become a party of death for the average American, so we quickly fall into concerns of futility and breakdown as they bomb the social lives of the regular people they represent.
The GOP is playing with a bomb, and they are likely to accidentally pull the pin themselves.
When Noam Chomsky calls the GOP the most dangerous organization in world history, why is it every week his words get a bit more weight to them? It sounds hyperbolic, but look at what they're trying to get away with. The AHCA is a
literal heist against the American people.
