I'm doing the chillaxing thing this weekend - tomorrow I'm going to continue writing a comic I'm working on before seeing some mates in the evening for a catchup. Then Sunday is band day as per usual, I think we might be trying to get a rough recording done this week, every exciting.

Tonight I shall be driving home to Wales. Spending tomorrow with my best mate and his brand new baby daughter. Driving back early Sunday morning, heading down to Kent for a christening in the afternoon.

Gotta drop my P1 in to have the wheel bearings looked at so I'm going to spend Saturday bumming 'round town eating and getting drunk. Sunday will be bike ride. Not a lot really, nice laid back weekend!

Apart from that, I just booked a week at Center Parcs for me and t'missus.

I think my favourite milk chocolate is still galaxy. That stuff is so yummy.

My favourite chocolate activity is sucking up hot chocolate through a straw of kitkat and then schlorping up the gooey straw. Shit be decadent.

You have my attention. Any in particular you've modelled yourselves on/been inspired by?

We kinda run the gamut really. Got your obvious faves like Mogwai and Godspeed and Explosions in the Sky. I really like Russian Circles for that metallic edge to proceedures too. Some guy came up to us at a recent gig and just started quoting bands at us. He was like "Deathcab. At the Drive in. Mogwai, Mars Volta". I gave him a hug for stroking my ego so nicely. EDIT: nearly forgot Oceansize too, they're a massive influence on us. EDIT2: Shellac! How did I forget Shellac??? And Slint as well.

We have coined the genre PunkRockPostRock for ourselves since we like to go a bit mental in places and we're a bit more 'fuck you' than thinky at times. It's a fun band to play in though, it's quite freeing to be able to play exactly whatever we feel like without having to follow a genre slavishly. It just comes out a bit post rocky.

I quite like dark chocolate but milk is definitely superior.
Went to a chocolate factory on a school trip once and they handed out cocoa beans for everyone to try, fuck me they were disgusting.

btw, Rammstein did get confirmed for Download 2013 this morning. ooooh baby! If the rumours are true and Pearl Jam ends up being the third headliner then I'll be more than happy to skip E3 and go to Donington Park instead.

Hopefully they do a decent full non-festival tour as well. Saw them in Manchester earlier this year and they were excellent as always (also, Manchester crowd > London crowd).

Sadly London very rarely gets solo PJ shows. I remember we waited ages for them to come back and they played Wembley, and since then it's just been O2 and an intimate gig at Shepherds Bush. Same with Springsteen. Seems a lot of bands prefer to do the festivals and Hard Rock Calling type of events than dedicated shows.
