*UNMARKED SPOILERS ALL BOOKS* Game of Thrones |OT| - Season 7 - Sundays on HBO

To cure greyscale you just have to cut it off? Has no one has tried this before?

Tyrion (I think) has 'heard' that removing the afflicted area can work but it's not 100% guaranteed.

Yeah baelish can go rule the kingdom of the cookie jar. Fucking prick.

god hes going to ruin this season somehow and set westeros backwards 50 years. I can feel it.

Not a chance. If this was 3 seasons ago I'd agree with you but now with just a handful of episodes to go he's done. Like I said earlier in the thread, we're going to get some stupid power move on Sansa that backfires and I reckon he'll be dead by episode 5.

Sometimes cringe, always stupid and hollow, but not boring this episode.

The Euron thing is really lazy though. It'd have been so easy to just give him some of the paranormal shit from the books, they obviously had that chapter. Team him up with the necromancers or have him capture and use them and have those ships appear out of some magic summoned mist. Any effort would have been nice.

Yeah, that was so lame. How long did they spend building up to getting a fleet for Dany and just like that he bumrushes it out of thin air and takes out like half of her army.

It sucks that Hot Pie didn't even mention Gendry, he had a huge role in the Arya storyline and they're just gonna pretend he didn't exist.

Hey guys, quick question, did yesterday's episode have nudity in it? I'm asking because I want to watch it in the living room on a nice set, but my mom is around xD.

Yeah... about that...

Maybe skip the next 5 minutes when you see
Missandei and Grey Worm
show up.

Dany fucked up splitting her army in half. I wonder how many ships/soldiers she lost

Danny was going to take over westeros with her dothraki unsullied army anyways, she only lost star trek redcoats. She lost nothing of value.

arya: nymeria, come with me
nymeria: sorry, not in the budget

I took that scene as, shes going to kings landing now, not back home, as thats not her anymore.

I love how crazy Euron is. I don't care about the lack of logic, the scene was great. Visually striking, though I was sort of sad to see the end of Colleen Wing. Kinda.

I've long accepted the show for what it is, so I just grab the popcorn and enjoy the ride.

Seeing Nymeria was good, and I felt for Arya. Really highlights how lost she's become. Hopefully that's not the end of seeing her; I've long expected Arya's story to be bittersweet and ultimately tragic. In the books, I can imagine Arya dying, but living on in Nymeria. Maybe that's why they spent some of the budget on the scene this week, because it's vital to reintroduce her. They're not exactly ones to showcase expensive Direwolf CGI for the sake of it.

The love scene was surely to add jeopardy to any coming battles involving the Unsullied and Greyworm. It was a bit misplaced amongst the rest of the episode, but hey ho. To be crude for a second; what a women. Good Lord.

I think Dany's losses this week will just mean she will be more inclined to be more diplomatic when Jon rocks up.

Full steam ahead. As always, the next six days are gunna drag. We wish these next few weeks away and then we're left with a two year wait.

Yeah Euron... sorry, this is just not working out.

It was an ok episode until he appeared. This has to be one of the weakest castings for a major(ish) character in a while. At least they nailed Randyll Tarly and it's good to see they're gonna keep using him.

2/3 sand snakes down, I bet we're going to see a Bad Pussy™ and Bronn reunion. Favorite part of this ep: Dany grilling Varys. Hell of an opening scene.

oh god everything about the ship scene and the battle was comedy gold

what a convenient way to write out the bad snakes as well

Fantastic episode all around, was skeptical due to it being Mark Mylod directing, but it was fantastic.

I love Euron, he's crazy and hilarious. His laughter after Theon jumped off the ship was hilarious and crazy.

Theon did the right thing. If he had moved forward towards Euron and Yara, Yara would probably had been killed and Theon would have been attacked by Euros and/or the other Euron-Team-Greyjoys and killed or at worst, tortured.

Theon is mentally broken after all the torture Ramsay did to him. PTSD is a dangerous thing. Im pretty sure the few scenes of Greyjoys being killed around him while he saw Euron having Yara gave him Ramsay-flashbacks.

It was nice to see Nymeria again, but both Arya and Nymeria are so far off who they were in season 1 that them leaving to each of their packs is probably for the best.

It was also nice to see Hot Pie and I found Aryas reaction to Hot Pie telling her about Jon to be quite frankly wonderful.

Also liked Tyrions reaction to Melisandre talking about Jon.

Aiii

So not worth it
So Arya is on tour on closing loose ends

Pretty sure she's gonna cross a bridge next episode and run into Gendry as he's rowing along the river.

Either that or we find Theon floating along the sea and along comes Gendry to pick him up on his way to Dragonstone.

So Jorah has greyscale, but but baby Sam is a whitewalker.

So when the newly infected Sam touches baby Sam, baby Sam turns into into the Stone King.

Baelish didn't even have his ladder moment yet. Why give him that speech when he never gets to do anything. Sansa killing Baelish would be the laziest writing ever

Good God... Why does every time Sam appears something disgusting must happen. And the transition to the food!!!! Stop this! Also, I bet the book the Maester is writing will be called "A Song of Ice and Fire" lmao

Anyway, the last scene was really awful, just eye rolling, but I'm glad two Sand Snakes are gone. If only they had killed the rest, the mother and Yara.... I dislike Euron a lot, but he at least did something right.

Man, folks are so down on this episode and instantly blaming the showrunners, as if the show hasn't been lousy before even when working with source material. Has everyone forgotten season 6? It was spectacular, and produced with probably just as much source material as this season. (Unless GRRM actually had WoW mostly written two full years ago to give to the showrunners).

I'm positively thrilled by all this. It's so exciting to finally see all the major players come together. You guys didn't enjoy that scene in Dragonstone with so many major players in one room? Was nuts.

It's what I've been waiting for. I love strategic scenes.

Damn this was not a good episode. So far this season has been two duds in a row. But that's how most seasons of GoT seem to begin. Difference is, there won't be many good episodes this season comparatively!

Worst things about GoT: Dorne, Iron Islands

What happens when you combine both? Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Lol.

Given what Ellaria did to Cersei's daughter, I have a feeling Tyene will not remain that way for long (no doubt while Ellaria is forced to watch)...

I hope I get to watch too. I hate the Sand Snakes as much as Cersei does! Glad they killed off two of them at least. Good thing they took a stab at it and didn't leave us hanging. :)

Wasn't the sandsnakes supposed to be expert fighters? They went down like nothing against Euron.

Also Euron and plot armor. He took few lethal hits from the sandsnakes but walked it off as it was just a scratch lol.

correct about everything

book euron is so op it's ridiculous. not surprised some of it leaked into his telly counterpart.

The other sand snake got to attack Euron from behind a few times but was armed with a whip and didn't do squat. She's no Trevor Belmont I tell you what.

Euron is that "lvl ??" douchebag that PvP farms lower-level players. They probably didn't even scratch his HP bar

Theon did the sensible thing by just logging out till he goes away

Was in the wrong thread (surprised no book thread is twice as big as this one).
-------------

The ship fight was really boring, right? felt like there were no real stakes, no way in hell Euron would die, and of course Yara/Dany would loose all those ships. Felt boring cause it was so utterly predictable.

Regarding the firebombs, I assumed some of those were wildfire.

Also was a quick turn around for Arya, I mean, she could've gone to King's Landing, killed Cersei and then headed home.

I think the writers made a point to distinguish it as green. I think they used hot oil or something as fire bombs. I too think the navy battle was forced and predictable.

Now to wait for the inevitable torture/execution porn of Ellarya. This show is losing a lot of its lustre. I'm still in disbelief how they handled Arya's final days in Bravos...

There were some fireballs that weren't "normal fire color", figured those could be wildfire. Anyway, was just trying to explain to myself mostly, how the battle could be so onesided, considering Yara and them had stolen the major part of the Grejoy fleet, as I had understood it.
