Is he out for a few weeks?

Yeah, neck injury, a few more weeks.

Klinsmann Q&A:

ussoccer.com: You have included Danny Williams on the roster, another player who was born in Germany and playing in the Bundesliga. What do you know of him?

JK: “Danny Williams is in a similar situation to Fabian Johnson during the last camp. We really want to see him with this group. He has tremendous potential. The coach at Hoffenheim is full of compliments and admiration for Danny, and I really want him to come in and get a first feeling for this group of players on the U.S. team. He's a player with a huge upside in the next couple of years. If it's possible to integrate those elements into a camp then we will continue to do that. Talking to his coach at Hoffenheim confirms he's ready for this step.”

ussoccer.com: What is the status of Fabian Johnson?

JK: “Fabian is still recovering from the injury he suffered in training a couple weeks ago. The good news is he has received approval from FIFA for a change of association. He is now a U.S. player, and we look forward to having him back with us as soon as possible."

Williams:
@briansciaretta

There are plenty of opportunities to watch the Men of the MNT in action with their clubs this weekend before the international break commences. You can check out the latest addition to the U.S. pool, Danny Williams, who officially received his U.S. passport Friday and is now eligible to play in the upcoming friendlies.

Your starter goalie just saved a penalty against Liverpool.

I may not like the USMNT but I have to admit Tim Howard is a really good player.

It's too bad he wasn't at the top of his game during the GC Final. :(

US Soccer NT vs. Honduras NT (Oct. 8 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Fla. at 6 p.m. (ET))

The U.S. holds an 11-3-3 advantage in the series dating back to 1965.

Omar Gonzales has indicated that he would consider playing for MEXICO if called up.

And Ives recently interviewed Bob Bradley...is this the first interview that Bob's done (in the US) post being fired?

Bradley blazing a trail in Middle East

“It was an honor to be the national team coach for five years,” Bradley said. “We’re very proud of what kind of team we built during that period of time - the way we represented the United States in the Confederations Cup and the World Cup. Our staff was still motivated to transition our team after the World Cup. We felt that we were taking things in a very good direction.

“The record is there. It speaks for itself and people can assess it any way they want.”

Speaking of records...

The US is 11-3-3 all-time against Honduras, including a 8-2-2 mark on American soil.
...
if the US does not win on Saturday, Jurgen Klinsmann would become the first USMNT coach to go winless in his first four matches since Lothar Osiander in 1986-87. And by chance he goes winless on Saturday, he would need a win over Ecuador to avoid becoming the first USMNT coach to go winless in his first five matches since Gordon Bradley in 1973.

And the US’ one goal is the fewest by the team under a new coach through three games since the US only scored one goal in Walter Chyzowych’s first three games as coach in 1976.

Wins may not matter right now but the US has won 8 of the 9 meetings since 2002 so anything less would be a real disappointment.

I just hope Klinnsman will eventually use all the players he calls in. Why does he bring Ream in every camp if he isn't going to play at all?

Defense wise, we're still looking super shakey...shakier than we should against a team like Honduras.

Still, Chandler and Shea are impressive together, and Williams is intent on getting a goal on his debut game.
