The return of Holden is awweeesssoommeee news. But then it just reminds me... the return of Charlie Davies is probably never happening :(

On a happier note, Jozy scored the winner in the Dutch Cup final today beating PSV Eindhoven! Jozy won a trophy!!

I'm glad he has a found a team where he can finally get some stability and succeed. Now if we had wingers that could provide good service than Jozy would actually perform well for the US.

Not for the upcoming qualifiers at least.

Landon Donovan is set to be omitted from Jurgen Klinsmann's U.S. national team squad for the team's June World Cup qualifiers, SI.com has learned.

Donovan, 31, the U.S.'s all-time leading goal-scorer, took a self-imposed soccer sabbatical from January to late March, getting away from the game and making a 10-day visit to Cambodia. But he started playing again for Los Angeles on March 30 and said he wanted to earn back his place on the national team.

SIX goalkeepers, is this a joke?

Klinsmann should be fired for bringing in the players in bold over Donovan:

Donovan is rusty
(so currently only 1.5 times better than Zusi)
? How many minutes have Parkhurst, Shea, and Danny Williams played in 2013?

Corey Ashe and Maurice Edu out of camp, Shea is out for the Belgium game.

Is it just me or is there not not much hype for the Belgium game?

hoping we put ourselves out well vs Belgium but my expectations for tonight are loooooooow.

Pretty much. I think we could do well, but this is a very talented young Belgium team and they could overwhelm us. At least this friendly and the Germany friendly will give us an idea of how we're coming along before getting back into qualifying.

This and Germany are going to be great tests. I don't think Germany has their first choice squad here though. I was hoping Besler was higher than Goodson on the depth chart but it doesn't appear to be the case.
