The referee has been quite fair this game. Giving a yellow card to the diver makes me really happy. It needs to happen more often.

FT 1-1

Not a very impressive game from our boys, though some players showed flashes of skill. It's safe to say that none of these guys will crack the A team yet, and I think the majority of them won't even be subs come the Gold Cup.

Wonder if any of the players from this team will be called up for Egypt...that should be a full strength team against a tough opponent. (not to say Chile isn't a tough opponent, but this wasn't Chile's A team either).

Probably.

You won't have to buy a 3DS is seems..

:(

Damn, that sucks. I really love the style Bielsa has his teams play. I don't know all the details but politics behind the scene pushing him out?

I liked what I saw in Dax and Mix. I felt bad for Wondolowski because it didn't seem like he had many opportunities with the ball. I was actually impressed by Bedoya in this game during the second half.

Video of the Spanish announcer when Bunbury scored

I like the BUNBURY, I like the BUNBURY!

hahahah.

Dax impressed, Mix impressed, Bunbury and Agudelo impressed, the rest ranged from forgettable to no thx.
Just got home. So, havent seen any replays but, from where I was sitting it looked like Agudelo dived or at least made it real theatrical.

But, damn if Bunbury and Agudeloa can link up! So much energy! It was great to see.

Grant Wahl's Twitter:
US's Jermaine Jones voted Man of the Match in his debut for Blackburn, a 2-0 win vs West Brom.

And why are the last few minutes of my Twitter feed filled with ESPNers having conversations with USMNTers?

Looked alright. That altitude seemed to kick his ass.

he looked out of breath at times....that's prolly why he was subbed out 7mins from the 2nd half.

He looked tired as fuck when they subbed him. He should have popped some viagra to fight the altitude effects.

Onyewu hurt his back today during a match.
shame. Couldn't find much else.
Onyewu leaves with apparent back injury
UTRECHT, Netherlands (AP)—American defender Oguchi Onyewu came out with an apparent back injury in the 26th minute of FC Twente’s Dutch Cup quarterfinal against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night.

Onyewu was playing his third competitive match for the club. The 28-year-old made Dutch debut in a league match against Heracles Almelo on Jan. 19 after he was loaned from AC Milan, then played Sunday against Groningen.

Twente won 7-6 on penalty kicks following a 1-1 tie to advance to the semifinals, and Utrecht beat Groningen 3-2.

Gooch's injury not serious:

The injury that forced American defender Oguchi Onyewu to leave Wednesday's FC Twente match against PSV Eindhoven has turned out to not be serious.

According to SBI's Avi Creditor, who spoke to Onyewu on Thursday, Onyewu suffered a muscle injury in his rib cage that will require some rest and rehab, but he isn't expected to be sidelined for an extended period of time. His status for FC Twente's match against Feyenoord remains uncertain.

I feel like Bradley should stay in the Bundesliga, but I guess out of the options out there I would like to see him go to Palermo...

Kicker says Bradley is headed to Aston Villa:

Google Translate said:
The midfielder of Borussia Moenchengladbach faces a move to Aston Villa! The Premier League club wants to borrow the American, who stands at Borussia 2012 under contract until season's end and also to secure a purchase option.

In recent days, the tide turned in the case of Bradley several times. Until the mid-week had the best maps of Sunderland AFC in the poker game for the U.S. national team. Then became apparent a change in Turkey - but not to Galatasaray Istanbul, which showed interest, but to Fenerbahce, which also gave immediately an offer for Bradley.

At the last minute then Aston Villa came onto the scene and Bradley has now apparently convinced to switch to the Premier League table Thirteenth. Even though the transfer is not official.

As Jones and Bradley leave Germany for England, new Americans are making their debuts:

In Germany Bobby Wood makes debut w/ 1860 as an 82nd min sub in 1-1 tie.
Timothy Chandler plays 29 mins for Nurnburg in 2-0 win over Hamburg.

My god. Edu keeps on scoring. When players come back from long injuries, they usually take awhile to get back to their ways, but EDU apparently doesn't care!

Apparently, Blackburn made a move for Bradley too, but it didn't go through. Would have been cool to see Bradley and Jones play together.

Wonder if the Egyptian unrest will affect the Friendly we're scheduled to play?

Things are probably only going to get more chaotic so I think the only way it would be played is if it was moved out of the country.

Michael's move to Aston Villa is DONESKI

http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~2281108,00.html

Villa manager Gerard Houllier said: "Michael is is a very hard-working midfielder who can score goals and is versatile. I saw him play four times at the World Cup in South Africa. I saw him once on TV but four times at the games for the national team, so in terms of scouting you cannot say the work has not been done.

And we eventually got a Bradley at Aston Villa...his dad probably did it! NEPOTISM!

and his first game might be against Demps!

I'm very excited to be able to watch Bradley now because that German team he played for was never on TV. What kind of tactics does Villa play under Houllier?

So today I've learned

- Eddie Johnson on loan at Preston North End
- Freddy Adu on loan to second-division Turkish club Rizespor
- It seems as if Altidore is going on loan somewhere. AP says he's going to Levante and the Turkish media have been saying Bursaspor.

Edit: I guess Jozy is going with the Turkish champs. He said so on his twitter.

The Argentina game has sold 27,000 while the Paraguay friendly has sold 9,000 so far.

Okay, this is cryptic enough to get my attention...

MLS set to make major announcement Tuesday
NEW YORK – There’s some big news coming down, and fans can get the exclusive scoop on MLSsoccer.com at 10 am ET on Tuesday.

Later in the day, two of the biggest names in the league – Designated Players Landon Donovan (LA Galaxy) and Thierry Henry (NY Red Bulls) – will join MLS Commissioner Don Garber on a media teleconference call at 3:30 pm ET to discuss details.

Fans can listen in on the discussion live on MLSsoccer.com.
Not sure if it's related but someone linked to this story from a Cosmos blog in the comments section: Big announcement in February

It has to be either the Cosmos or some sort of national TV deal... they can't consider something mundane the All Star game or a new playoff format to be a "major announcement" can they?
