Democrats need to lay off the Trump/Putin lovefest. It makes them sound as crazy as Trump saying "30,000 emails" every 5 minutes.

No it doesn't. The email "scandal" is total bullshit, Trump/Putin isn't. The disturbing connections between Trump and the dictatorial leader of the world's largest nuclear armed nation IS a legitimate issue that warrants more discussion. Trump hasn't adequately explained his love affair with Putin, a man who has brought the Cold War back to life and threatens the peace and security of millions across Europe.

Oh Lord, are you a 'Clinton News Network' person, doesn't surprise me lol. You're such a sham. Despite the claims of many, CNN is, overall, a pretty conservative network.

Clinton News Network... pretty funny.

Didn't CNN have an overwhelmingly democrat focus group last debate? Or maybe that was MSNBC?

Unless I'm just missing it, there is no actual evidence that this is true yet. Other than the Clinton campaign, the only sources the news organizations are using are "anonymous sources". I would like some actual evidence of this, other than the Clinton campaign saying it. (Honestly I want to believe it, but I have just heard zero credible evidence).

It's not just Clinton's campaign: http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/22/politics/election-2016-russian-hacking-intelligence-democrats/

Said this in PoliGAF:

Pence might "win" the debate, but he did so at a price. Because he's going to lose every fact check on this debate. Every. Single. One.

And him denying every charge against Trump (even the shit EASILY disproven) has given #TeamClinton PLENTY of fodder to take onto the campaign trail.

Pence lost the long game tonight.

Yeah. Clinton has the cash to burn, they'd do well to pop an ad or two with Pence denying interspersed with the direct quotes he denied.

That wasn't the focus group. That was the post-debate instant poll which they admitted to live on air before showing the poll. The focus group is always all undecideds.

From what I've seen, Trump has said that Putin has been an extremely strong leader in Russia...this is unfortunately true. Am I missing some quotes where Trump literally says he likes Putin?

Who won depends on if you value style or substance. If you actually care who answered the questions, then you know who won. Also I wish they'd just say "YouTube that" when there's a debate over a direct quote.

Pence was all defense about Trump and you don't score without playing offense.

Kaine interrupted a lot, yeah, but the news will be about Pence never really answering for Trump and simply deflecting as much as possible.

"That Mexican thing"
Oh brother.

I think this will be remembered like the Biden debates. Immediately afterwards people think it was a draw or close. But this will be remembered for Trump being indefensible. Pence was just constantly deflecting. He was like phone tree for a bank that kept spewing out words but not related to the question at hand.

That was their poll. It leaned more Democratic but often the more excited side responds to these post-debate polls.

I really don't think Pence even came close to winning tonight. You might be able to charitably say that Kaine didn't win as hard as he could have with the rough first half hour and the few missed opportunities to really stick it to Pence in areas that would have really embarassed him, but he still clearly hit Pence hard and often enough that Pence spent the entire last hour of the whole thing struggling through every response.

Did you miss the GOP platform at the request of the Trump campaign heavily reduce harsh language and action towards Russia?

Please re-read this. I see the article claiming it was Russia, and Comey (the head of the FBI) saying it was "bad actors"...that doesn't mean Russia, that just means it was a human being on the planet earth.

"There's no doubt that some bad actors have been poking around," FBI Director James Comey told lawmakers Wednesday, without offering any more specifics.

Yeah, he'll be even more effective once he polishes his technique. Who knew Kaine had that fire in him though? I know he must have gone through hell to prepare, but I've never seen someone swat down pro-Trump talking points in such rapid fashion with specific fact-based responses. He's a lean mean bullshit killer. For all the hot air Pence tried to spout, he found himself spitting ice cubes.
Yep, he was locked and loaded. I'm into it.

Rachel Maddow just brought up a great point. Pence was doing that "nope" "not true" "wrong" thing that Trump was blasted for.

i didnt have a chance to watch the debate, but did they ask Pence to explain why he tried to fund gay conversion therapy in Indiana?

yeah i don't get why people are saying pence won unless your only criteria is who interrupted less?

pence got hammered again and again with actual facts that he really had no way to defend

Glad how things panned out. Pence had this "I hated this" face afterwards.

Was reminded strongly of Obama/Romney 1. Kaine had Pence on substance, but Pence was extremely smooth at denying facts and previous statements while Kaine wasn't so good at calling Pence on it.

Hackers working on behalf of the Russian government are suspected in the onslaught against more than 20 state election systems, according to sources with knowledge of the matter.

what?

I think you need to read the full article and see the clear evidence of Russian and comments from other officials to that effect.

Of course in an official capacity the FBI isn't going to create an international incident by directly calling out the Russian government.

Kaine whiffed. Should have taken a measured approach just destroying trumps views and let pence try and squirm. Interrupting entirely too much.

Would have been a boss move to check twitter and recite once pence kept saying the "insult driven campaign" bs.

Where are you guys getting "tie" from? lol. Most people here thought Clinton won the debate due to Trump cutting her off....Kane did the same thing and now it's a "tie." That was brutal to watch imo. Pence won easily today.

But that's Obama!

Just asking questions eh? I'm not playing this game thanks.

I guess the difference was Trump interrupted with "WRONG" and offensive statements, Kaine interrupted with actual corrections?
