No one questions that they happen. Just wondering why they happen when it's 3rd party this gen, especially if the game isn't made in some way where it really takes advantage of one console's hardware. It's beautiful but there's no way it can't be done on 360.Hcoregamer00 said:

But I can see why Scouts might rape later on. The Gallian rifle they use (I think it's the same ones Engineers use) has the longest range out of the all the guns that counter-fire. When I say that, I mean that when it's the enemy's turn and the enemy is moving, your guys fire at them as soon as they are within range. Snipers don't do that, though, so that leaves people with the Gallian rifle (Engineers and Scouts) with the longest range during this part of the enemy's turn.

No, if Valkyria 2 is a huge money maker for them, why would they go back to the PS3? If you make a huge amount of money in a business, you don't go back to a money sinkhole after that.

Cannot wait to try this game today. I am one of the people recently that just got a PS3 Slim. My 2nd game purchased is this after just passing MGS4 last night. I am truly looking forward to this and a big thanks for everyone on this thread keeping it bumped over the months to keep my interest in it. Hope to have favorable impressions on this game tonight. More realistically, they realized that if they were going to put it on only one HD console, better to aim for the one that actually had some presence in the Japanese market. Ideally you'd release on both consoles, but that would've driven development costs even higher.Keikoku said:

There was a brief discussion about the anime 40 posts back. I've been watching and its an average anime. This is another one of those cases where the game gives you so much more than the anime (in terms of background etc.) which is a bit of a shame since the anime was a great chance to complement the game in terms of interaction with the whole of Squad 7 but instead choose to focus on the Alicia-Welkin-Faldio relationship.
Technically the best episodes (in my opinion) are the original ones that deal a lot more with the background story of Welkin or Prince Maximillion and life in the Empire. It's nice that they include the DLC character Johann (even though he changed from Engineer to Officer).
It's also strange to me that they would change the way some events are presented in the anime and ignore certain elements of the game. But that's more personal preference.
I'd say (if you're curious in watching it) that it's better to watch after beating the game (and DLC) to see the differences but don't expect it to be the definitive telling of the Valkyria Chronicles story.
