soundwave05 said:Washington Post is correct.
Aside from Nintendo-based titles there are really no new games coming for the GameCube exclusively being announced and really there probably isn't going to be any.
Even loyal supporters like Capcom are jumping off the ship.
I mean of course there's a controversial slant to it, but it reminds me of how riled up people got when Next Generation magazine ran a cover story with the title "What's Wrong With The Nintendo 64?" (with the cracked glass image of Mario).
Nintendo fans were up in arms about it, but really it was just Next Generation stating the obvious -- without CD-ROM support, the N64 would struggle to get a big enough library for the next four years.
Don't cry for Nintendo though, they're no where near like Sega. They're incredibly wealthy, will probably end up being successful with animated films, and are set to make almost a $1 billion dollar yearly profit next March even with the GCN struggling.
I hope Nintendo's next console is really, really out there. Even moreso than the DS. Like totally crazy and very different from any traditional console.

Let's stop focusing on the image and/or impending "doom" of a console and start focusing on and enjoying the games that they deliver to us, Sales Age

Let go. Start saving up for either Xenon or PS3 and don't look back, it will make it a lot easier.
Nintendo has no mind share anymore, not even in Japan.

etiolate said:See the OT's attitude towards the right side of the political spectrum and their association of it with Nintendo. Overattribution, weeeeeeeeeee!
The OT forum is more civil though. They exercise their demons with Nintendo here and ignore that the situation they are feeding is bad for their hobby. I think many members turn off their brain once they click on "Gaming Forum".

SolidSnakex said:"While others are talking, Nintendo is acting. Let me ask you a question: what company right now is driving category sales? If you said someone other than Nintendo, you're wrong. We have momentum -- have had it since late last year, and if you don't feel it yet, you will. I promise you that." Reggie

And the very idea that EA being online for the Xbox is some giant thrill for Xboxers just shows how out of touch he is.

My suggestion: read the whole article, it's interesting.
Incognito said:Why would I want to torture someone like that? The last thing I want in my hospital bedroom, and believe me, I'd know seeing as how it's my second home, is a worthless Nintendo console in front of me.
However, Mario Kart on the N64 provided hours of great fun during a few stays 5 or so years ago.

Fire Emblem, The Legend of Zelda, Resident Evil 4, Killer 7, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Star Fox Assault, Advance Wars: Under Fire, Odama, representing the majority, are uncultured?Insertia said:That's a pretty fucking weak list, save for Zelda and maybe RE4. Gamecube can't compete when the majority of its 'major 2005 titles' are low-brow stuff that will be overlooked.

I'd say hop off that sinking ship ASAP. That is the absolute weakest list I have ever seen on GAF, aside from the pre-launch xbox exclusive list.

GT4 is going to demolish everything in sales next year.
Are you sure? I think all the delays have turned some people off, not to mention the lack of online play...SolidSnakex said:GT4 is going to demolish everything in sales next year.

Lack of online play isn't going to hurt it at all. It hasn't had it up until now and it's still sold tons.
