What's the most angry you've ever seen someone at a game?

Threw my Dreamcast into a tub full of water. Bought a new one.

Later on my Dreamcasts wouldn't load PSO version 2. So angry, I threw them both outside in the woods down a steep hill out the front door.

At times I get completely incensed if something happens at the wrong time in games. Got kicked out of the pizza parlor a few times.

My best friend kept camping out and sniping me in some FPS, so I kicked him in the back and told him I hated him.

I really felt bad afterwards.

My older brother threw controllers and chairs around when he lost during long battles in Final Fantasy games once or twice. My younger brother also sometimes got really pissed and jumped me after losing in fighting games. All of this was like 10+ years ago, though, and never happened again as far as I know. They were rare to begin with.

As for myself, I never get angry playing games...since, well...it's just a video game. But I'm also too chill to get angry. Hah. Thankfully, my brother's chilled down, too.

I was once at a friend's house (lets call him B) and another friend (C) was visiting from out of town and staying over. When friend B lost embarassingly 6-1 in a game of Pro Evolution Soccer on PS2 he threw C's controller out of the window (second floor), grabbed C who couldn't stop laughing, from the neck and threw him out of his house. Poor guy had to take a 4 hour drive home, at 3 am. And he didn't stop laughing...

I had a friend who, after losing at Mario Kart Double Dash to a blue shell, stormed outside, got in his car, threw it into reverse and slammed into a parked car across the street. Cost him $1200 in repairs.

And you?

This is hilarious! I would be horrified but also hysterical with laughter while watching that. From his room to his front door to hsi car, he probably had so much time to think about it, chill and walk away! xD

I'm trying not to laugh now thinking about how he must have felt after the smash.

And me? ... Aside from the odd Youtube video/gif of people smashing keyboards (can never be sure which are true displays of anger), I've thrown and smashed a pad once in my life (PS3 playing vanilla SF4 online with lag). Just spiked it in to the carpet and boom... it was a moment of pure rage and it felt pretty ridiculous. Been calm as a Hindu cow ever since.

I will always remember the day my little brother, having lost one too many lives on some forgotten game, jumped to his feet, our snes raised over his head, and slammed it down on the living room floor.
6 months without video games [ a true first world tragedy, lol.]

Never once even thrown my controller. Seems to me many gamers have too much pent up angst and a lack of self-control.

Not the angriest, but my cousin getting his ass kicked by Street Fighter II boss CPUs and whatnot was probably the most memorable (and earliest) example (spread over years). He used to get so furious at the end and force me to play because he couldn't stand the idea of playing the game anymore, but didn't want to turn it off. (Oddly enough, back then, I was more into watching people play games.) Man, Sagat was unfortunately named, I'll say that.

seen me trying to get 0 time in chocobo racing in FFX? no? you are lucky (><)

I doubt I've seen anybody more angry at any game.

Broke about two ps2 pads through playing pro evolution soccer online. Cracked the disc in half too at one point.

This was way way back though and never do things like that anymore. Worst ive done recently was playing wipeout on my vita round my moms this Sunday past and failing to get the second pass on a time trial three times in a row by about half a second. "you fucking c**t" just came out of my mouth. I realised it was time to switch off.

I'm a furious curser and an occasional negotiator to gods while playing games that frustrate me. Have never ever thrown a controller, but I have thrown a mouse that would randomly turn off on me... holy fuck one time I was playing Tribes Ascend and... whatever, not going to get into it, but now I have a mouse randomly turns off on me and no longer has a functional right click - this is my burden. Anyway, mouse problems aside, I actually like getting so frustrated I'm cursing like madman. Tells me this game might be good. This is one reason I don't usually play with a mic (but I did have a kinect accidentally set to mic for a month, which horrifies me). When I'm bored with a game, I'm more dejected and silent.

Watched my buddy literally throw his SNES with Street Fighter 2 in it out of his bedroom window on the second floor of their family's house.

Bison was apparently "cheating".......

The craziest thing, instead of getting in trouble like I thought he would, his mom drove us to the store and bought him another one.

Is he now a well adjusted adult who understands the value of money? That's ridiculous!

I've never been physically angry but I've plotted several murders in my head after a few close NHL losses to some friends.

Fuck! after every death in CS:GO is inevitable too I guess.

As for friends not many of them get too mad, mostly dejected if they're on a bad losing streak. But I have cut ties to a lot of LoL players over the years. Negativity and anger all the time isn't worth it.

My girlfriends son threw the controller at the TV after raging at Trials Evo. He was 5 at the time.

We were not impressed and had to buy a new TV. He did not play games for a long time after that and he has never played Trials since.

Games I've seen (and performed rage myself) rage happening from:

Break Shit Every Single Time Rage:
Starcraft 2 ranked

Top Tier Rage:
WoW raiding with incompetent people
Every single fighting game (excluding 3s)

Mid Tier Rage:
Diablo 3 inferno pre-nerf
Devil May Cry 3 DMD
Quake 3 DM16
Counter-Strike 1.6 CPL
Borderlands NG+

Low Tier Rage:
Dark Souls everything after Anor Londo

I've definitely broken at least one Dreamcast controller playing Ecco the Dolphin. Other than that, I just holler swear words. Sometimes I will slam the controller on my thigh, but doing that disrupted my controller's battery pack so I stopped.

I think the only time ive ever truly raged was when my PS1 memory card corrupted and i ended up losing all my saves. (FF7, 8, 9 - 60+ hour saves)

Took it to my garage, grabbed my dads hammer and smashed the crap outta it,

Felt pretty good after.

I've thankfully grown out of it now, but;

1 x Original NDS - Lost in 150cc Baby Circuit, chucked it at a wall and snapped the hinges
1 x DS Lite - Literally drove my stylus through the screen after failing the god-awful Spirit Tracks flute section for the umpteenth time
1 x iPod Touch - Thrown at a bookcase after getting sniped in RDR multiplayer, shattered screen. A blameless victim!
Countless PS2 & Xbox controllers

A very expensive personality quirk. Glad I'm more chilled now.

Quake 3
Counter-Strike

These. Also. Add Tekken 6:BR / Tekken Revolution Online and Online Poker Bad Beats. Fucking Pokerstars and PartyPoker stealing my money with ridiculous 1-outer river cards.

Damages: Broken RShift Key, several broken glasses (fell over when punching my table/keyboard and broke) and a dent in my couch table.

Used to throw my PS3 controller after last minute Tekken loses, but always aimed them at my big fluffy pillow. So no damages there.

I'm not sure what to say other than wow.

I don't have much "Nintendo rage" (as we affectionately referred to it as kids) but one of the funnier ones I've witnessed involved a SNES and Super Punch Out. Me and some friends were hanging out, having a drink, and playing some games during the reign of the PS2. We got tired of San Andreas so switched to the SNES for some Super Punch Out (we loved playing and passing the controller). One of the guys, known for his temper got his ass handed to him over and over by either Nick or Rick Bruiser... he claimed it was personal and vowed to beat him. This went on until his Nintendo rage built up pressure and had to blow off. He proceeded to rip out the controller and use the cord to spin it around his head like a wild fucking cowboy swinging a lasso and then spiked the controller in to the floor. Controller was fine (Nintendo products mang) but ego was bruised.

Good times.

I recently found out if you twist the Xbox 360 controller diagonally with both your hands? It snaps pretty easily.

Worst rage I've seen, however? Watched a fist fight ensue during a Street Fighter II match at an arcade.

My cousin was playing the finding nemo GBA game and dropped the pebble just as she had reached the filter. She got so angry that she turned around and punched the first thing she saw, which happened to be her little sister who had been watching her play the game. Her sister got a black eye from that hit.

I'm not sure what to say other than wow.

Yupp. Screwed myself out of money and some valuable things. Very stupid thing to do. All I can say is I was a stupid kid who took things way too seriously. Also, when you've paid for it with your hard-earned money, you put a lot more thought into what you're doing!

Another time my cousin was over playing Marble Madness and kept dying on Level 4. He started screaming every time he got pushed off toward the end of the level.

He got so mad he threw the controller sideways which hit my brother in the mouth knocking out his two front teeth (they were baby teeth and already loose, but still).

For me, the worst I've done is break a few controllers.

But back in the 80's I witnessed my brother calmly take RC Pro-Am out of the NES, put it underneath the tire of his car and run over the cartridge at least 7 or 8 times. Then he went OfficeSpace on the remaining pieces. That had me dying laughing as an 8 year old.

Little brother starts up the Playstation to play some random Square game we got, I don't remember which one. It asks him if he wants to format the memory card, which at that point has my FFVII save with so much gil that the number glitched out and all characters at 99.

Him to me: "What does formatting do? *click* "
Me: "............"

Not proud of it but I got assaulted by 3 college aged dudes when I was 16 after continuously beating one of them in Killer Instinct at the bowling alley arcade. I was really good at that game at the time and was using Combo and must have beaten this guy a dozen times in a row when he finally got fed up and just threatening to beat my ass for real.

When I left they just followed me out and whipped my ass right outside the front door of the place. Not fun but whatever.

My brother lost at some Facebook poker game and punched the desk so hard he broke the glass layer covering it. And it's a pretty thick glass, like 0.5 cm.

I used to punch my bedpost and/or self (in the thigh, abdomen, side) when I got really mad at something. I stopped that after bruising my kidney and peeing orange because of Ninja Gaiden on Xbox... stupid Alma...

Now I just shout obscenities that don't make sense, "YOU CUNTING MOTHERSHITFUCK!"

Always fighting games and online FPS's. In the FPS's it's just people overreacting over their headsets, I find it so annoying that I tend to mute everyone before a match begins just to be safe.

With fighting games though, a lot of my friends would always blame shitty performance on controllers, claiming they KNEW they were blocking or had input a command correctly. I always just suggest sucking less, which doesn't seem to help.

I don't break things, but I get really fuckin' mad.

Like right now, this second boss on this ugly-ass game Volgarr the Viking is pissing me off. If there is a God, he's sick of me asking for favors so much.

When I left they just followed me out and whipped my ass right outside the front door of the place. Not fun but whatever.
I'm sorry but...I laughed way too hard at this.

I used to get pretty damn furious at games that I would kick and punch various items in my room. The dumbest is when I got up and punched the cushion of the chair I was sitting on. Except I ended up hitting the metal rod that lay underneath the cushion and put my hand out of commission for a few hours.

I also believe I may have frightened a few neighbors over the years with some of my yelling. Thankfully I have since calmed down and no longer suffer bouts of gamer rage.

Any YouTube reviewer. I have seen very few people review a game positively on YouTube. People seem to go out of there way to play some crappy games just so they can go into obscenity yelling rants that are really boring.

My father playing Zelda2 on the nes.

Trowing the controller was à classic at the time but the words were pretty imaginative. He stoped when i asked what was à cocksucker ahaha

Good old quality moments with my father as à kid ahah.

Apparently I was a horrible Sunbro for one guy in New Londo ruins. I took the invader down to about 3% health then diverted my attention to a Darkwraith NPC that was coming at the host (he didn't see it) who was still at 100% health. The invader ended up defeating the host and damn did I get a bunch of hate.
