Who’s picking up Ghost Of Tsushima?

Looks pretty amazing. Haven't pre ordered but I have been watching this game closely. Gonna buy it day one so long as the reviews are decent.

Those are great games
I don't agree but that's not my gripe with them. What gets me is the false, or let's say misdirected advertisement.
Days Gone was kind of sold as a story driven game, which it wasn't since at it's core it's another open world sandbox Ubi-like game. Still bought the game, since basically everybody and I mean everybody says it's underrated.
Death Stranding. Not an easy game to get into and too much of the story is told through show rather than interaction. Still bought the game, because... Kojima.
Last of Us 2, well, fake trailers made to trick people and a story that I like on paper but is absolutely BAD in its execution. This one I'm not going to buy ever, but still: all of these games were sold as something else.
And that is why I'm going to wait it out for reviews and impressions.
By the way, it's not just Sony games. I've always been a day-one guy, ever since I got a job and could pay for all the games I like. Now there's no way I'm buy anything day-one, even stuff I'm eager about like Avengers and Cyberpunk.

I'm pretty much gagging for a 3rd person action RPG to grind away at so I think it will be a day one.

I don't think I've played a AAA game in 6 months

After the the latest out tree house, I've gone with GOT over Paper Mario on day one. Doesn't mean I will get both, but GOT looks like a fun experience. I had a lot of fun with Second Son and its expansion, and those were early PS4 titles. I expect this to be a pretty good experience.

Needs to have some very glowing reviews from trusted reviewers for me to even buy it on sale sometime. Already got my fill of samurai games with Sekiro and Nioh 2.

Yep, there day one. Games seem to be quick and intense burn cycles. Already it's only been three weeks and TLOU is largely out the big cycles. And a lot of the tail end of that was due to various controversies. It's not like the first game or even I:SS. Games are doing the same formulaic stuff os it's harder to be amazed by them. I think people actively look for things to notice to oversell now. I'd give this the same legs. A solid launch, OT will be popular for 2/3 weeks then sporadic.

Besides that, I'm still going to really like this I think.

I'm not as it dosnt seem that fun to play to me (a bit like No Mans Sky and Death Stranding did at launch IMO).

I'll be keeping an eye on all your feedback though, just in case.

Im also doing it thru Amazon. What's ur delivery eta? Mine is the Tuesday after release >__>

After seeing how bland paper mario is I canceled that and ordered this off amazon.. My eta is "
Arriving:
Wednesday, August 5 -
Wednesday, September 2
"

Well okay then amazon. I hope yours isn't THIS Bad.

Yeah, Ill day one it. Looks good enough for that, though I'm not really expecting it to be GOTY amazeballs level. Just something that will hopefully keep me engaged and pass a week or two of videogame time

I wait what reviews say about the difficulty, i dont like hard games.
Yeah if I want hard games, look no further than the SNES mini! ..but to me this game just seems like another Ninja Gaiden, (which is no bad thing) but I was never a fan of that genre anyway, where's the Onimusha 2? For today's consoles?

Day one.

Though I get a little sad that the hype for this is not that great.
Not that I expected TLOU2 numbers, but it's sad that a new IP gets only 30% of TLOU2 hype.

Maybe I'm getting too annoyed with sequel culture...

Need to see some real gameplay first. Probably not though, the camera perspective would annoy me too much, like it did in Infamous 2 SS. If they come to PC with a proper version then I'll reconsider. :goog_wink:

Why is it being compared to Assassin's Creed? Because it has swordplay?

I'm curious: If it was so similar to Assassin's Creed, wouldn't Ubisoft sue Sucker Punch?

Day 1 for me. I saw a developer diary from Sucker Punch that discussed how GOT was influenced by Akira Kurosawa. I'm a huge fan of his work and I can't wait to see what Sucker Punch has done with the Samurai genre.

Yeah, where is all the advertising?

Seems really unfair...TLOU2 gets mega advertising and then GOT is a few days from release and nothing!
It's like they play favorites with studios to a ridiculous extent. They could at least do a little advertising... come on!

Reviews out in just a few days before release for the skeptics. This is a good sign, but I'm day one regardless. Sucker Punch is giving us something fresh, not a sequel or remaster just a sweet blood splattered new IP that looks gorgeous-take my money.
