Who Do You Think Konami Should Hire To Reboot Castlevania?

I mean Dark souls pretty much is a 3D Castlevania

Not really. The action is basic in those games. Standard weapon attacks. The action in the 3D Castlevania games of the past has combo attacks with cool looking powerful whip techniques. Just like you saw Trevor fighting in the animated adaptation of Castlevania. Lords Of Shadows combat was great.

I was going to say joint venture between Inticreates and Wayforward but I remembered Vanillaware. Their art would be incredible and I would like to see what they do with the Metroidvania formula.

Is today the day of poor hot takes?

Everyone and their dog knows Lords of Shadow is the best Castlevania game in the series.

More of that please.

I kinda wanted to see Platinum Games take a shot at making a Castlevania game, when given time and budget they can make good stuff

But my first choice will always be Igarashi, he needs to finish the Castlevania timeline with the 1999 missing piece

It will probably be an indie/ cheap developer

Give it to Neowiz, From Software, TecmoKoei or maybe even ShiftUp or Capcom? I think they would nail the environments, atmosphere and especially the gameplay.

Imagine the art creators/directors from Streets of Rage 4 remaking Symphony of the Night.

That art style drips

Painfully true. Bloodstained was offensively mediocre, and horribly unbalanced.

I mean, they remade one of the most acclaimed Konami games ever. It would have been quite extraordinary to botch it. But apparently, now that the fears of it being bad have been assuaged, the narrative has completely reversed.

Dude, that’s a stretch that Mr. Fantastic and Elastigirl together couldn’t achieve.

Damn, now that’s a good idea. Pandora’s Tower is criminally underrated.

I don’t see Inti Creates nailing the Castlevania vibe. Plus, their level design is usually lacking, and they often make their gameplay more cumbersome than your average Castlevania requires.
Sounded cool in my head. I'm gonna ask Miyazaki about it somehow...

Moon Studios. The makers of Ori. I'd love to see them take on a dark gothic 2d metroidvania style game.
Yeah Moon would do it right. And don’t miss No Rest for the Wicked if you like them!

MercurySteam did a fantastic job with Metroid Dread, they would definitely do well on a Castlevania game too.

And Team Cherry (Hollow Knight), would take two decades for them to finish it but it would be awesome.
