Who's cancelling their 3DS preorder and joining the winning team?

Man, this will be entertaining lol

I was going to suggest we make a 3DS vs PSP2 thread (kind of like forza vs gt5) because I knew GAF was about to get out of hand. Hopefully we can keep it to one thread.

Was never going to buy a 3DS. PSP2 for me.

a bit harsh i agree but it's good that even the slightest crap promoting fanboy wars gets dealt with as soon as possible. Good shit mods, don't let this place turn into gamefaqs.
 
DS = N64 graphics
PSP = PS2 graphics

3DS=GCN graphics
PSP2/NGP = PS3 graphics

so just like with the DS/PSP gen, the PSP2 will be 1 generation ahead in terms of graphics. Doesn't necessarily mean the PSP2 will dominate the 3DS in sales. Price is important.

I'll end up with both. I don't discriminate. PSP2 looks like it could be a pretty gorgeous machine. I think I'll end up preferring the 3DS though. There's something about the quaint retro visuals I like.
 
I was planning on getting five 3DS'es, but now that I've seen what a piece of shit it really is, I've cancelled all my pre-orders and I'm gonna replace them for half a PSP2 pre-order....
 
Waitiing for a redesign for both. Ugh...Brick design AND 5 inches. Come on, its supposed to be portable.

Other than that, its pretty fucking awesome though.
 
3DS comes out March, PSP2 comes out............TBD, think i'll keep my 3DS pre order til i get the price and date for psp2

We all know that this thing is going to be crushed by the 3DS, but good on Sony for trying to carve out a high price/high tech niche. That's the market they know.

BULLSHIT, PSP was never PS2 powerful. PS2 ran MGS2, SotC and Okami fer Christ's sakes

Anyway, as with the 3DS, anyone who buys this at launch is a madman
 
Heh PSP2 being bleeding edge actually is a deciding factor AGAINST for me. I don't want to play endless clones of PS2/PS3 games on it.

And I have the same doubts about 3DS too :(

What do you want from a portable game?! A virtual d-pad? Who else is delivering more gamey content than Nintendo and Sony? Who are you kidding?

I think you guys are just PMSing. PSP2 will obviously have 'console experiences' like Uncharted, and more portable focussed games like Luminus. It will serve both ends perfectly.

Same here but I probably won't end up with a 3DS until the first redesign. NGP being region free with NGP/PSP/PS1 titles and actually making a global system is is what I love. Nintendo forcing me to choose between regions is a turn off. Both systems have games I'm interested in but for now I can wait on 3DS.
 
This is purely hypothetical, but if the 3DS and the NGP somehow both released with the same price on the same day, I'd have to choose the latter. Far more impressed with the possibilities Sony has in mind for it.

However, as some have pointed out, Paper Mario and Mario Kart cannot be played on the NGP, so I shall be getting both. Gonna be a verrrrry long year.
 
This is literally one of the dumbest, troll-baiting threads that I've seen on GAF in a long time.

Though I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

DS vs PSP (pre launch and a year or so beyond) were some of the best times I ever had on GAF (enter laughing smiley)
