I hate this controller. :I Hopefully I can keep using the CC and CCPro.
And no motion sensing capabilities.
The odds of Nintendo releasing another controller with the right stick and button swapped are the same odds as Sony releasing one of these

Although I would love to see that with the Vita d-pad, would be Sony's perfect controller.

If you play something that's not a shooter (I only play games that are not shooters), you will need the buttons way more than a second analog stick, which itself is just a camera stick then. So it's way more comfortable for every single game (despite Portal) that I'll ever play with a Wii U, if the buttons and the left stick are in the primary positions. I so hope Nintendo comes to its senses and at least releases a controller with the correct alignment. It's ****ty for the Pad, too, but this one isn't formed in a way that the handles make it sucky to press the buttons.
Thread carefully with generalizationsBut I thought that's exactly what HARDCORE GAMERS wanted? Make up your minds already!
Wii U graphics will look good enough compared to PS4 and x720.
Why did Nintendo opted to abandon the incredible ergonomically contour of the Wave Bird controller for a complete copy of the 360 form factor?
So the odds of Nintendo or Sony releasing a comfortable controller are nearly nill, is this what you want to say? Why doesn't Nintendo just rerelease the GameCube-Controller over and over again, just lika Sony rereleases their Dual Shock thingy every generation, the world would be a better place >.>.
So is it safe to assume that the Wii-U wont support mulitple GamePads, but will support mulitple Pro Controllers?

shooters use the face buttons though, which is exactly what I was talking about, if I need to quickly hit b to melee or x to reload, a to jump ect ect the wii u button layout for this is not the ideal one

1. Because it's dpad was shit
2. Because the C-Stick was bad
3. Because the triggers were uncomfortable when trying to get to the "final stage"
4. Because the Z-button was shit
The 360 controller is just much more comfortable, even though the button layout is a bit awkward with the A and B button swapped.
So will this controller along with the touch screen controller be packed in Wii U?
Man, I didn't even notice the buttons were wrong.
Hopefully they notice and switch X/Y, A/B. Annoying if companies don't accept the standard. This doesn't differentiate your product, it just annoys the customer.
You gotta get David Bowie to move out of your way or you'll stay blind.Too little. Too late. Should've been the original Wii's controller out of box. Maybe then I'd give the hardware the time of day instead of being subjected to motion controls that made games worse instead of better 9/10 of the time.
They really need to fix the button placements if they're wanting this controller to be taken seriously, anyway. The ABXY placement is just screaming awkward.
I'm guessing that Demiurge working on the port is good news? I believe Eatchildren said they did great work on Mass Effect's PC port. It looks like the Wii U might not get constant C tier port jobs like the Wii.
Come on...How is Nintendo switching the position of the face buttons and right stick a standard-destroying BLUNDER OF THE CENTURY when the DualShock and 360 controller having the left stick and d-pad in different positions isn't?

It will support one, possibly two, its safe to assume that two will be the max.
Yes, you can see the 4 led lights indicating which controller is active, its the same system used on the ps3 controller. So up to 4 pro controllers confirmed.
You realize all of those could be improved on right? The 360 controller didn't start out the way it did.

Good work nintendo!
Making a last generation console focusing on the tablet and then giving players a traditional pad saying that the tablet will be futile and too heavy for long sessions is pure genius.
I didn't hear Iwata speak on the Wii-U supporting more than one GamePad during Nintendo Direct, and he was leaning pretty heavily toward the "Alone Together" motif, so my assumption was that it could only use one.
Would love to Brawl w/ one GamePad and 3 Pro Controllers, sounds feasible enough.

No bomma, i meant the ergonomics of the controller not button quantity or layout.Somethin something reactionary 3rd parties something something narrow mindednes
Less frequently then you'd need to aim which is why face buttons are not where you rest your thumbs in this case. Most functions in modern schemes are mapped to the top buttons.
Dude. Brawl with one 4 Pro Controllers and one GamePad controlling Master Hand.
Halo, jump/shoot/melee/grenade on RB/LB/L/R. Only rarely a need to reach for A/B/X/Y.Example?
And the 360 controller didn't start out the way it did? I don't see any changes, sorry. And apart from the dpad it feels really great, even though I only use it on my PC.
How do you know the controller isn't comfortable, have you held it yet?
Oh and Sony was going to change the PS3 controller
Remember this bad boy

The Wave Bird had a prong design that allows to warp the fingers around, a lot better than the 360 "claw" like form.
Nintendo mentioned it would be "light".Hopefully it weighs less than the 360 controller. And that it goes through a quick redesign that flips the right stick/button placement... otherwise I hope many core Nintendo franchises support this, since I am not personally all too enthused with the whole tablet concept behind the WiiU.

In my opinion, that PS3 boomerang controller looks nothing like any other controller from what i've seen. The two handles on the side isnt unique, but the curve design is.Wow I never realized how similar these controllers designs were. Its like sony tried to copy the controller but took out all the bulk. even they recognized GC controller was the best.
Do you expect better graphics in PS4 than what we have in current high-end PCs?Let's wait until we see some Wii U games, and then lets wait until we see some PS4/720 games before jumping to that conclusion.
