Wow, this web browser is actually pretty neat. It's the fastest console browser by a long stretch. It even auto loads GAF's mobile site too!

JUST RETURNED FROM WALMART WITH MY NEW WII U BASIC!
No preorder at all. Went to my 24hr walmart at around 10:40pm and noticed there was a small line of about 7 people. So i start waiting and a clerk walks by and asks what i'm waiting for. I tell her the wii u and she says that there's only 8 consoles on hand if nobody preordered and all 8 were taken. She did a count and saw only 7 people in line but the customers said one lady was waiting too but is still shopping with her kids. I decide to wait it out just in case she dont return and then the lady comes back and says they actually have NINE left so i was the last one left after the lady did return from shopping.
5 deluxe and 4 basic units. 1st 5 took the deluxe so i was left with a basic. Not even mad though. I didn't want Nintendoland. I really just wanted the black console and cradles, but i can live without it. Plan on getting a external hdd anyways, so i'm good.
They didn't sell any games though, so i'll have to buy that tomorrow.
The local Best Buy had people standing outside in the torrential rain that's pounding the west coast right now. For shame BB. That's why i went to walmart. Plus they had like 75 people in line already. It's the only best buy in the bay area doing a midnight launch. 7.5 million people and only 1 store... f that

For some reason I can't connect my wii u to my hdmi port on my reciever. When my pc and ps3 work fine. I just decided to connect it directly to my tv and it works fine. But I dunno what to do about audio connection to reciever now. Hmmm..,now to wait for update. Slowly.

I did. I actually don't want to stop using it immediately like when I use other console browsers. It's a shame it doesn't have Flash Player though.

No picture on any connection type, just a blinking blue light. Judging by the Nintendo Wii U support forum at least 4 other people are having the same issue. Feels bad man.

Hmm, I'm starting to think that some employee at the Wal-Mart I went to pilfered one of the Deluxes.
To be fair, the white is starting to grow on me. Less fingerprints and scratches aren't as noticeable. If only they had matte black.

Is your TV off when plugging in the HDMI? If the TV is on the signal won't be picked up.

Fingerprint and dust magnets right out the box. Should've been a matte finish, IMO.
Also, the update so far is going at a snail's pace.

Looks like a LOD bug, So you are on the lowest lod version for in the background views, that or the normal map failed to load, either way, BUG.

Nintendo World really fucked up this launch - 6 registers open for an insane amount of people (my guess is 2k).

They had 32 deluxe Wii U's available BEYOND the pre-order capacity in addition to several regular (white) Wii U's that nobody wanted. I was the first person to go into the store (it was 11:30) and was presented with several tables full of the accessories and more. It was like pure bliss. Afterward, I sat down and spoke with another guy who was very cool.
Overall, my experience was outstanding at Best Buy and I couldn't believe how many units they had.

I completely took off any sort of password at all just to test it and I still get the error. Very frustrating considering every other system I have took no effort at all to set up.
Does it let you download updates but carry on playing, and then install the update next time you launch it? Vita does that and it's very useful
