Browser isn't terrible like I was expecting. Not great, but not terrible. Handles gifs okay (the animated box art thread chokes it), but it really needs a scroll bar. Not a bad effort, but I'd definitely just reach for my computer if I need something from the net.

PCM is good, just a name it can be a lossless 5.1 stream so you are good to go.

My receiver most of the time get PCM or (some onlu show PCM, but it's still LPCM) LPCM from my hardware X360/PS3 and it's the same as the Dolby Digital and DTS streams.

You can import a 3DS one, I did. But it has to be set to allow sharing otherwise it will fail.

For some reason I can't connect my wii u to my hdmi port on my reciever. When my pc and ps3 work fine. I just decided to connect it directly to my tv and it works fine. But I dunno what to do about audio connection to reciever now. Hmmm..,now to wait for update. Slowly.

Got my system at midnight, took it home, hooked it up, and nothing. System power light just blinks indefinitely, and I can hear the fans running, but it doesn't output any video or audio to my TV. I've tried multiple HDMI cables, every port on the TV, and even component out with my Wii cables. I can't even use the GamePad because the sync process requires putting in a symbol code from the TV. Nintendo customer service is, of course, closed until 6am Pacific. The store is of course already sold out of systems, so there's nothing for me to exchange.

yep - I've changed all security settings on my router and even took all security off and it won't connect to the router. It's a cisco router too.

And this is why waiting until after launch is sometimes the best option.

Finally got the system to connect to the Internet and am finally downloading the update, my friend had to manually configure the settings one by one into my modem-router to get it to work.

Played some NSMBU before that, aside from the initial Internet annoyance this is one amazing system.

Just a few random notes, seems like Wii U has a nice internal scaler like Xbox 360, NSMBU upscaled to 1080p as did the Wii mode, RE4 WE looked pretty good. Obviously not native, but a nice feature if your HDTV likes 1080p sources like mine does

I just got back from Best Buy with my package. Here's the scoop:

They had 32 deluxe Wii U's available BEYOND the pre-order capacity in addition to several regular (white) Wii U's that nobody wanted. I was the first person to go into the store (it was 11:30) and was presented with several tables full of the accessories and more. It was like pure bliss. Afterward, I sat down and spoke with another guy who was very cool.

Overall, my experience was outstanding at Best Buy and I couldn't believe how many units they had.

And your Best Buy story is reassuring as I pre-ordered in-store the day after pre-orders were announced. Seeing as how all the stories I've heard about Best Buy yesterday/tonight have been about Best Buy keeping pre-orders held and still having extras, I don't feel so worried about going in tomorrow and having my Wii U there when I go to the customer service desk.

And yeah I hope the Rayman Legends demo is up fairly early tomorrow. I plan on picking up my Wii U around noon tomorrow (as long as there are no issues) and updating that system while chatting with my friend(s) and maybe playing some card games while we wait. I wanna show them that Castle Rock stage. One of my friends doesn't have fond memories of Rayman after playing the original on Playstation. Would be funny if this changed his mind.
