Just picked mine up from best buy (west Paterson).

Completely sold out apart from preorders.

Was painless. I pulled up at 1145 out by 12 They let people come in and buy early but would let anyone leave til midnight lol

That's messed up but why were you crazy enough to leave a LAUNCH DAY console in plain view through your car window? I wouldn't even do that in New Zealand. Your trunk serves two purposes; Holding your spare tire and keeping expensive toys safe.

No one broke in. We think it was an errant pellet gun fire.

I don't have the Wii U yet, I'm just saying, I booked a Safe Lite appointment and it's $299...so essentially, I'm paying for a second Wii U for no reason.

Okay...now they're trying to find the Wii U's...and apparently they're saving some for Black Friday? Dafuq?

Yeah. West Paterson and Manalapan were the only ones I saw listed for NJ. Wonder if any that weren't mentioned.

Well walmart didn't have my preorder. I was the first to preorder and there were only four people there to get one. I was the fourth person to arrive, and they only had three consoles. They told me to come back when they had them in stock. WTF

I'm living vicariously through you midnight launch guys & gals; have fun playing Mario while I'm getting my laundry, dishes, and vacuuming done!

In line to get mine right now at Walmart. Does anyone know if you can go online in COD while using the Gamepad and the TV for two person local multiplayer??

IGN didn't review Batman again, they just left an addendum.

For those who played through Batman: Arkham City in 2011, the Armored Edition doesn't offer much in the way of incentives -- by and large, this is the same top-notch action/adventure game Rocksteady released last year. The new BAT mode gives you an additional combat option, but it's both unoriginal and ineffective. You'll charge a meter, activate BAT mode, and become mildly stronger in a fight. The inclusion of the Harley Quinn's Revenge expansion, Robin and Nightwing's challenge rooms, and character skins goes a long way to lengthen the experience, but the Wii U Game Pad functionality is clearly a consequence of launch-title experimentation. Arkham City looks and plays just as excellent as always on the Game Pad screen, but when it's used for touch-screen weapon selection, or as an in-game gadget, the Game Pad is just awkward. Moving the real-world object to look for in-game objects is a chore, and better left to the analog sticks. Glancing at the Game Pad to see your sonar radar is the best usage, really, but even then it's unexciting and not as helpful as simply absorbing yourself in the game proper.

thats kinda ridiculous :|

but hey i guess when these companies dont usual deal with preorders they have zero idea how to do them PROPERLY

Shit... it's raining now. Might better my chances though. My best buy is the only best buy in the bay area doing a midnight launch. millions upon millions of people here and it's the only one... i hope they stay home due to the rain

Why would you review a console?

Let alone one at launch?

Well for stuff like this:

It's a disaster of a touchscreen, though: the resistive display often doesn't register taps or swipes at all, and you have to really mash on the screen to get it to register. Gaming's all about fast-twitch reactions, and you'll miss a lot while trying to tap the screen.

Not the first time I've heard this. :\

I walked by at 8:30 pm tonight at Best Buy and there were only 3 people waiting and they seemed to be in the same group. Lol. But I'm in a college town so that probably affects the numbers.

The gamepad touch screen at Walmart worked fine...almost like a capacitive to me...barely required much pressure.

I'M BACK!!!

Good to see Batman isn't a shit port. Will definitely pick it up eventually considering I haven't played it.

Batman has Off TV play right? Do you still have to move the GP to control the Batarang when using just the controller?
