Here are my first impressions:

The gamepad is huge. I knew that it was big from screenshots but seeing it live is another thing. And it's incredibly light considering its size.

Nintendoland nice but not exceptional. Guess I'll have to try it with some friends tomorrow. Hopefully it'll be better in multiplayer.

Wow at Miiverse. It's incredible. Nintendo struck gold with this. I think I spent more time in Nintendoland's plaza watching the stream of posts than actually playing games.

The OS is a bit slow but nothing like what it seemed from some posters. And there's a demo in the eshop! Downloading it now (FIFA 13)

Just trying surfing in bed. It works! But it was close. A little farther away and I'd have had no luck. About 5m and a wall. Pretty happy now. Unfortunately Neogaf gave me some trouble navigating. Sometimes there's just an empty screen? Got Nintendo ID, too. "Cosmozone" worked.

Edit: Right now, all pics have vanished. This browser is a bit unsatisfying yet.

The Wii U was launched this morning, and most people are probably doing the update when going back to home in the evening. That's probably the worse time possible for an update in Europe.

3h for 45%, and it seems to slow down a little bit (estimation at this rate is over 6h30, not the initial 5h30)


And I'm pretty sure there'll be a second one in a couple of weeks...

Are you replying to someones message on Miiverse and trying to post a screen?? It seems you can't post a picture of a game unless you're starting a new message. Hopefully this gets changed. I put a message in NSMBU about a secret exit and someone asked where it was. I was going to reply with a screen of the area, but I couldn't. I could if I started a new message though, but the person asking probably wouldn't see it.

Yeah, I was kinda surprised that it was quite a bit larger than the Nexus 7:

Thanks, might try. I liked Dynasty Warriors so this might be fun. Is it mostly 60fps or mostly 30fps?

If you like Dynasty Warriors you should get Warriors Orochi ASAP. It's the best musou game ever made to date.

The PS3 version is 60FPS with slowdown. Can't comment on how the Wii U version runs, as I don't own it. Just I've read it runs slightly worse. The slowdown won't affect your enjoyment.

I'm guessing the site/system takes a snapshot of your Mii to use as an avatar in Miiverse. Somehow, you've ended up with a broken picture. Try editing your Mii and it will probably solve the issue.

Day one impressions; better than i imagined. Love the os, no problem for me even if it is a tad bit slow. Miiverse is just amazing and the communities may well be the best thing it has going for it.

Only played nintendoland and zombiu out of my retail buys. My body was not ready for the latter died three times in one particular area already.......

NSMBU and Darksiders 2 will be tried out tomorrow.

My warawara plaza does not go online. There are only Nintendo miis and my three local ones. No big game icons above the miis... only system icons.The other online elements work ok Miiverse (the boards), nano assault scoreboards,netflix.

Same for me. Maybe it's not dynamic, and requires a refresh on Nintendo's side.

Played some Mario today with the Wiimotes and wow, what a horrible lag there is. Does anyone notice that too? Input lag, to be precise. Playing with the GamePad is fine, playing with two Motion Plus Wiimotes is horrible.

Edit: Seems to be fine at home. Was playing at a friend's house, strange.
