Am I the only one here who's still watching this?

Anyway, I think most people expected a decent episode, since the game's producer stated multiple times that the anime will get "even more" interesting from episode 4.
Ties to the game's newest update were expected, but this week's show completely failed to deliver in that regard.

Only thing related to the current game's story was one of the characters briefly mentioning
rumors about unmanned cars (which are one of the new enemies in the game)
. Given how the new story in the game is basically
characters from the game warping to the real world to deal with monsters which start appearing (in this world PSO2 exists as a game)
, I expected a bit more. At least we got a shot of
a character from the game killing an enemy off screen
, which makes me believe that the real anime - game connection will hopefully start next week.

Disappointment aside, this week's episode focused on showing how much fun the PSO2 offline event happening every few months is. To be honest, I was already thinking about going to the next one when it's in Tokyo and this might've convince me even further.

All in all, people expecting anything exciting will be disappointed.

A bit of a tangent but given theres a few marvel zombies around here:

Is there anything like MAL for tracking US comic reading? Bonus points if theres a nice android app rather than just a web interface.

I guess theres big heavy comic collector apps like comicrack, but thats not really what I want.

The Asuka x Shinji banter was pretty damn funny through this episode. The well choreographed battle was good with the hilarious sour ending to said battle. Either way, it was a good growth episode for the two.

There should be an international law that states only KyoAni is allowed to produce fanservice anime. They managed to make giant bouncing boobs and panty shots so elegant. Take that hilarious limbo sequence or the blue stripe panty shot or the titty rubbing that-generates-elemental-power scene. It takes skill to pull that off masterfully and any lesser studios would have completely botched the execution.

The action was excellent and the humor pretty good. Ruru is really entertaining as a sidekick.

Its a really dumb show but it knows its dumb and does dumb shit anyways. I'm on board.

though they're in a city, I think, so I have no idea why they're so dang threatened. Out here in the sticks schools are closing left right and center.

I found the scene when Itachi appeared to be hilarious simply due to how rushed and out of nowhere it was.

Alright AnimeGAF, I have a conundrum, and ONLY YOU GUYS can help me with. Watching anime with someone, is it possible to do it on the laptop screen or must you hook it up to a HDTV with a HDMI cable or sorts.

Usually I watch anime solo on my laptop/PC which I'm fine with. But I'm currently dating someone who is reaaaaaalllly into anime. We've been going out for a month and I'd think watching anime together would be fun but, again, I never watch anime with someone else so I don't know if just a laptop screen would be too small or not.

So, I FINALLY got a chance to watch the final extended episode and they did an excellent job wrapping everything up nicely. Outside of Barakamon, this has to be #2 on my list of straight SoL shows. The characters were interesting, the comedy was good and the writing was fantastic. I'm going oissue the fun this one was to watch.

HDMI and Erased for something weekly right now. Go for feels and watch Clannad with her, lol.


Or watch Working! Starting at Season 1

Amazon, netflix and I think vudu does. But I think thats all for actual 4k content. And I doubt theres even any anime feature films with that. Even film stuff remastered at 4k.

Of course I assume 4k tvs upconvert everything to the panel resolution. Which I guess would be no worse than what funimation might do.

What was the significance of the book that Airi notices towards the end of the 1st episode of Erased? I only just remembered it, but I can't remember it showing up at any other point.. was it his manuscript from the beginning? No wait, he tears that up.. I don't know. Help me out here.

Also, my roommate was rewatching Ep 2 and when Yuuki notices his porn stash is open, his eyes flash red as Satoru recalls being interrogated. I thought that was an interesting touch.

Phantom 4 was actually pretty good. Still trashy and rote but massive decrease in fanservice and fighting.

Definitely, it's been excellent so far, I really hope it stays this well directed.

I think it's something even non anime fans would really find good as well.

we're still too early to call whether Erased will be one for the ages. It could still drop the ball by source material alone. And unlike with Bunny Drop, a mystery you can't just end before it gets solved so we don't see the (possibly) shitty material lol

I'm enjoying the buddy cop dynamics between Sena and Kuroki. It's the small things like Sena casually eating Kuroki's sandwich, or Kuroki giving back exact change that highlights them more than their bantering.

And it's neat seeing the pickpocket from episode 1 in the background every episode. Would be funny if it were somehow plot-relevant.

My heart can't take this. Initially my gf was watching this with me, but after episode 2 she said she'd rather wait for the season to be over so she can binge through it, and I'm starting to believe she made the right choice. God I need the next episode now.

Also, best mom. I fucking cheered.
