Majin Bone - 32

Fantastic episode.

You can really feel the twelve years of guilt coming from Shougo's mother even though she's been on-screen for only two episodes. I honestly expected Shougo to be the one in tears in this episode. Seeing his mother break down in tears after seeing him was a really well done moment.

This show is so good.

You need the Secret stuff for the ending though unless you have a separate stopping point in mind.

The basic idea is that the Secret as visual elements serve as new enemies and remain mysterious, but are simply a consequence of the timeline instability, nothing more. Anything that tries to explain them or connect them to a larger plot will have to be removed since all those plot elements are really bad. The focus will be kept to Ao's connection with his mother, nice montages contrasting the world of AO with the E7, and cool mecha action scenes at every set piece.

I want to cut out Renton all together but he ties in with Eureka and the whole abandonment issue with Ao.

Maybe I should rewatch E7 then go to AO sometimes.

is the movie worth watching?
Yes to Eureka7, but i can't recommend Ao.
Movie was eh, but at least it was pretty.

I... Liked VLR way more then 999
VLR jump/skip function does make it better to play than 999. 999 still have the better twist imo. The sprites though... i hope they use 3d animation similar to GGXRd for zero escape 3.

Btw, they cut a huge chunk of the conversation between Kenya and Satoru out in the anime. In the manga it goes on for much longer and Kenya says a bunch of stuff that relates to how the story uses him later on
as a time travelling abuser j/k
. I don't really miss it though, since it was really on the nose, and if they're going to be finishing up with a movie, there'll be lots of time for the audience to see it for themselves. If they're not finishing up with a movie then it won't matter because it probably means all of that is going to be cut anyway. Lol.
The cliffhanger to the movie will be the most frustating cliffhanger ever (lol)

Hunter X Hunter (1999) 25

It's been going on for a few episodes now, but the new eyecatch music is some really bizarre dissonant noise. Not sure what's up with that.

Konosuba - 8

Good episode but they kind of skipped over the introduction of wiz. It looks like their gonna do the same next episode but I could be proven wrong. Where's my season 2 :(

Well, so was 999 but that was still fun. Uchikoshi seems to only have one idea in him anyway.

Never said they were bad (though I do have a ton of issues with the games). I'm there day 1 for ZTD. 999 is still the best example of the one twist he knows how to do and honestly one of the best in the entire medium.

I still maintain that if more people played Ever 17, they wouldn't be as crazy about VLR (even though VLR is vastly better paced than E17).

Yeah, this was a great episode with how it meaningfully and efficiently portrayed their characters. The flashbacks were well timed - I like the last shot of the ED in that regard as well. The whole series has had some of the most consistently good character writing I've seen in long-running anime.

I don't thin we're going to get an Erased movie. Maybe an OVA, but I doubt even that. I just think that the director is going to cut most of the chapters leading up to the climax and just focus on the killer and not random side character that's introduced. That or create an original ending that's based on the manga's ending. It all depends on where they end the next episode.

Also the manga ended about a day ago.

999 was better than VLR because it was pretty much a complete story. The amount of unanswered questions n VLR was disappointing.

999 was really cool, yet to play VLR.

Only thing that bothered me was that it's a very design/creator driven game. A subjective issue. Every single conversation had some or the other relevance at that point of the game or later on, it makes the design a bit too conspicuous. Kind of turns me off at times, in other words, breaks the immersion. I guess the same goes for Danganronpa games but I still love it.

I do think 999 and VRL are better than Ever 17 though. And I still appreciated his twists even after having read his other works. That said he won't ever top Remember 11. He went all out on that one.

Erased: 9
While the sob story for the mother is giving her a sympathetic backstory despite her being a terrible person that I don't feel sorry at all for, the show acknowledges at the same time that neither Kayo nor Satoru feel that sorry for her. So in the end I am okay with it. It is a great closure to Kayo's character and I loved the voice over of her essay being read as she was moving away.

After that we see Satoru trying to save the other two victims. It is finally addressing that issue! And after finally coming to terms with his personal trauma in never having been able to do anything in helping Kayo when he was a kid, he is taking a proactive approach into helping the other victims. As he says, "I never want to feel like that ever again".

Help guide me. I'm looking at where I left off Majestic Prince, and apparently I watched through to episode 18. But I'm looking at the episode summaries on Wikipedia to refresh my memory, and I can only remember stuff up to ep12. Some of the events in ep13-15 sound kinda familiar but I'm not sure. Should I just start against at ep13 and watch the second half of the series? Is the 13-18 content good enough to be worth watching again if I can't remember them?

Years ago the E7 movie was shown at the normal AMC near my house for one night only. I completely forgot to go watch and and for a while was mad at myself for missing out. Turns out it was for the best that I didn't have to witness what I read up on months later. It probably would've soured my feelings and emotions for the show if I had gone to go see it.

For those that saw it, was it somewhat tolerable at least?

I don't understand why some people keep perpetrating this lie that there is a E7 movie. It's clearly untrue and if it were true I'm sure it would have been so bad that if I had the misfortune to watch it I would hate myself so much that I would convince myself it didn't exist while berating others for attempting to break my delusion.

Are you Earth-chan or something?

Ange's introduction and the aftermath of Izuru's awakening was pretty fun to watch. Not to mention 17/18 has one of the best fights in the series. I think it's worth it if.

Maybe this time the story will actually go somewhere before the last 3 episoes.

Or maybe if you have no appreciation or interest in modern Japanese political and pop culture history you should watch something else! :p
