Not exactly.
In the original, his mind turned back into a cat's after hacking into some computers for information because... reasons. That part got retconned.

But even though the second season of DtB sortof morphed into "the Professional" for awhile, the show benefited from being one serialized story instead of a bunch of episodic two-parters for most of its run.

? (As far as viewer could see) It's been a while but that was the impression I got.

Kidding, it's a good/great show but I hope you're aware this has Bake levels of dialogue + double length episodes.

#1 has Meisai and she rules so pick that.

Problem is that unlike Shaft's Monogatari series adaptations, Katanagatari isn't nearly as interestingly visually directed, so that I got bored listening to all this dialogue, which itself wasn't top notch either (though solid).

Basically,
the cat survives the first season, shows up again at the start of the second season, gets killed, but then Mao's voice is heard shortly afterward. So we can infer that he got better after getting his mind wiped (between seasons) and jumped from the cat to the squirrel at the start of the second season.

Yaah it did look really good. Bubuki Buranki is probably one of the best looking CG anime series i've ever seen. Have no idea where the story will go, but i'm definitely interested.

Yay another person watching Garo.

Its a fun ride - the first half is pretty standard fare, I'll admit. All around enjoyable but nothing exactly unique. In the second half they do some interesting things with the story though.

It scratched an itch I had for medival fantasy at the time. And its getting a movie seuel this year!!

Don't bother with the second Garo anime however. It was quite disappointing.

Exactly this. People get hung up on Hei's change of character in season 2 but thats his actual attitude, not the fake persona he puts on in season 1, and its a logical path for him to go down considering everything that happens to him.

Like he has a few more morals than most contractors but hei was never a nice guy. The fact that he dosen't have his mask for most of season 2 kind of shows that that lonely, boozing, grumpy bastard is the real Hei.

People get hung on "oh why can't he be the cold, stoic, emotionless badass he's season one" and just ignore all the character progression he has with Suo in season 2.

Bibika Bobonki - Episode 1

Time for some real impressions of this totally real anime. It's fucking -real-. Reminds me of Gainax TV anime back in the gangsta dayz where they were so coolz and indie hardcore. Just shit happenings, the screen visual explodings, make it pop like anime shadings. So real man, so real. Badass boys, badass girls. Long swords, big guns. It's party like the 90s with backdrops like those dope ass OVA things. Brother, I think I'm drunk on 3DCG. I wonder where the sister is.

I'd try to help but pasting and resizing things is the extent of my graphic skills ...

If you want something with more integrated and visible title you can just go with the title card from the Opening.

The last couple minutes of the last episode ruined it for me because I realized.
"Oh wait...NOTHING HAS ACTUALLY BE SOLVED AND THE PEOPLE THAT WANT THEM DEAD ARE VERY MUST STILL IN POWER."

Enjoyed Oshiete Galko-chan 01 quite a bit but I was taken aback by the jokes initially.

Also watched Ojisan to Marshmallow, it's adorable.

I'd recommend watching the mononoke special that was a part of an over-all package if you can. The one called like "the cat" or something of the sort. It was fantastic.
