Ah well I can understand the need/desire to short cut but I'd be careful when doing it with fanart/fanworks. If there is a remotely attractive girl (or even guy though to a much lesser degree) in a show an/or the show is just popular in general, you can expect the lewd to flow. That's Rule 34 for you. And it isn't even restricted to anime/Japanese media/Japanese artists (glares at large amounts of Steven Universe porn all over the internet as a recent example......) but as someone who has used the internet for more than one week, I assume I'm not telling you much you don't already know.

Trashy? Thats not really a word I'd use to describe Amagami. Its pretty damn wholesome. Well for anime.
Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu- 1
This was excellent, looked up Rakugo right before I watched it and wondered if they could pull it off and they did. The characters are pretty good so far, some nice interactions. Yotarou has a lot of a passion and his first performance was pretty good, shame the second performance went so bad. Nonetheless, looking forward to where he goes from here. Konatsu turned out different than I expected, but not in a bad way it all. Shes an interesting character and I like how she befriended and helped out Yotarou. Looking forward to her performing as well and how she will deal with her inner turmoil. Yakumo is an intriguing one too, with his unexplained past. I know he is portrayed as a master and it shows by the way they visualized his performance but I actually liked Yotarous more. Interesting characters, setting, and some very fitting music, made for a great start, hope the rest of the episodes are too.

A pretty dumb way to define things. Might as well call all anime based on manga trashy too because of Prison School and Maken-ki.
Just made a search of all the recommendations on Google and...sorry, but they all seem too...."bright" for me. The kind of gloomy and awkward style shown by the main character in MGX was the main thing I loved, is something wrong with me?.
I will give Tasogare Otome x Amnesia an honest shot, though. Simply because it's the less..."cheery" looking one, even if as it was said, it's not really a romance story.

Nothing to lol about that anime whatsoever. I'm assuming you don't like the visuals? They're used to good effect and the director of that adaptation is excellent.
Maybe White Album 2 would be gloomy enough.

The rotoscoping is used to excellent effect in the show. I have a hard time imagining it traditionally animated, honestly.

The romance story isn't the central aspect but you can bet your ass that it's a decently big B story to the horror and mystery.

I agree with this. I tried watching One Punch Man on the site but the player is so bad it makes it difficult to enjoy the great animation.
Funimation may do some crappy stuff regarding show dates and bad colouring, but at least their player works.
