Yeah, that's why I've always compared it to Trick 'r Treat. If you like one, you should dig the other, even though they are thematically very different. They both have that fake comic book horror vibe going on.

Very apt comparison. And I do indeed love both, partly for that reason.

Hang in there bud. Any day now.

BvS v Zootopia is my favorite box office story of the year. (And yes, I've played that up a bit, but the contrast is hilarious.)

Tomorrow, the streams cross.

Deadline saying a 45-50% drop for Jungle Book this weekend. I know they aren't the most accurate with projections, but that is still a damn good number.

50% would actually be be on the weak side for Jungle Book. It had low Thursday previews last weekend, suggesting it wouldn't be as front-loaded as other big budget films. Family films also tend to have better legs than films aimed at teens/young adults.

Cinderella and Maleficent dropped 48% and 50% in their second weekends, and those didn't as strong of a reaction from both critics and audiences.

Until they give us a Friday number, I don't trust anything that Deadline puts out.

It was posted already in the Cap review thread, but Boxoffice.com bumped up their Civil War prediction to $200M OW/$550M domestic today. I guess they are putting their money on the "Will play like the Avengers" horse.

New on the list are Finding Dory which they have at $109M OW/$390M total, and Central Intelligence ($52M OW/$155M total).

Everything else looks about the same.

I should point on that Boxoffice.com originally had How To Train Your Dragon 2 at close to $300M a couple of years ago, so it's not like these figures are guaranteed to be close.

I think XMen used to be 120M OW/260M total

I feel like Finding Dory should be much bigger, considering how beloved Finding Nemo is.

But then, considering Pixar's recent output...

That's crazy.

Guess Age of Ultron numbers WW aren't so outlandish after all.

The biggest theatre around here (25 screen Harkins + IMAX) is still playing Deadpool six times on each Saturday and Sunday, and 5 times a day during the week. Damn, lol.

Dropping BvS was expected after this time. But for Winter's War? That has to hurt.

The 13 cinema theatre I went to had it for 3 showings in it's smallest theatre (the early showings are reserved for bday parties)

Wasn't a fan of BvS but did not expect it to fall so fast
