I wouldn't say buried, because he did come off looking like a star, but there was really no reason for Cena to go over. The story is over now. Cena over came himself and the Wyatts. There is really nothing left to the story now. Now it's just another monster of the month for Cena when it COULD have been something that immediately cemented Bray as a top heel, could have given Cena an edge for a little bit and then Bray/Bryan could have a feud and Cena could revisit Wyatt around Summerslam and win then.

Cena winning certainly didn't help him. And it didn't really help Wyatt. All it was a rehash of the Rise Above Hate stuff, and Kane immediately went back to the mid card after that. So now they've run through the whole story progression just to have Cena stay at status quo. And that's a waste.

Wyatt goes on to a great career, Cena is still the great amazing human being who is perfect at everything.
