Well, being that the PS4's NA numbers beat Xbone's global launch - their 11 biggest and most loyal markets - and Europe is SonyLand, I'm actually expecting the PS4 to push between 1.5 and 2.5 million PS4's on the 29th.What type of numbers do we expect for PS4 next week when it launches in EU? I mean, is it actually possible that PS4 outsells the XB1 2:1 after the EU launch?
So it looks like the 66% PS4/33% XB1 numbers we saw in polls is turning out to be correct. If Sony sells another million+ in their Europe/Oceania/Asia launches through the end of the year it looks like it'll be a 2:1 ratio worldwide.
joke post?Unless Microsoft gains ground in Europe. Maybe this one week will make more of a difference than we think.
.
Unless Microsoft gains ground in Europe.
So far my friends and I are loving it. Some few things they need to iron out but otherwise its worked great and you can really see where this is going.
Congrats MS .
Can't say Im surprised. All of the negativity I've seen has purely been online. Most of the 30-something dudes I know in real life were excited as hell for it, and preferred the old DRM policy (the ones that were aware of it). One of my friends actually switched over from being a Playstation guy because of the Kinect Fitness program.
It seems like the Xbox One is going to cater to an older audience this time around, because most of the features that are really interesting about it aren't things that appeal to the teenage/early 20 something gamer. I'm sure that will have an impact on sales, for better or worse, at some point down the road.

yield issues confirmed?
They shouldn't, but no one is really going to question it. Waiting over the weekend and then giving a figure of less than 1m for a global launch would look bad (assuming they don't sell the full shipment), it's easier to "get away" with this.

Yes, but these ratios are because of Supply, not demand. So long as stock is sold out it's not a proper guage of demand. I'm not saying Xbox is higher in demand because it's obvious it's not. I'm just saying supply issues are the primary limiter with both consoles and whatever the "sold" numbers are, they're a factor of quantity.
My guess? Probably reading too much into it.Where is Kyle Orland when you need him?
Headline next week:
Sony sold 1 Million PS4 in europe
sorry but 1 million for 13 countries is not so good
lol at people who think console game crash is coming.
Yup and Its going to be brutal when they launch the beast in all other territories.
What is the console cost?So at $100 more, they made $100 million more in revenue?
How did they get the number of sales so soon?

I wonder what North American numbers are.
That is not impressive considering in one territory alone PS4 sold that much. But congrats anyway
