It's available, but I don't have enough good soldiers healthy without a few days of healing at least, but it seems like my last autosave is only a day or so before the last box ticks over. I hate that they don't seem to tell you when the meter is gonna tick up.
If it's a facility and not a blacksite(there's a difference), it's not actually all that hard in comparison. Just send in the rooks with whatever vets you have available.

I think looking at the avatar facilities and the thing in the ocean indicates how close they are to progressing. And whenever a facility is build, it ticks up as well so check the dark events to see when the next is being built.
The more facilities they have, the faster it fills of course. And the thing in the ocean cannot be stopped.
So I tried starting up a Legend/Ironman playthrough last night, I ended up restarting a couple of times because I discovered that there's basically no way you can make it unless you get at least one squaddie unharmed out of the first mission. The amount of luck (or the lack of) involved in the early game of Legend is insane. You can only mitigate it so much, just aggroing one group at a time can be next to impossible if you're unfortunate with the randomized map generator.
So I've encountered the fabled game breaking bug on the final mission on ironman.
Screen started flashing all sorts of violent colours nearly giving me a seizure. There were invisible walls preventing me from attacking enemies, so I tried to reload. Game crashes everytime.
Is there anything I can do to fix this?
I love this game but man, it is NOT worth this amount of money with all these bugs. Having the final mission glitch out like that is unacceptable. It really should not have been put on the market until at least another couple of months.
Happened on my first run too, but wasn't playing ironman, reloaded and then it worked. Now not so much.
That was brutal. I didn't lose any soldier. But honestly i had a lot of luck. My guys are being swarmed.
Only one avatar left with almost full health. He teleports to a place next to my specialist.
Said specialist did nothing worthwhile so far. Chances are 29%. I take the shot. EXECUTED. Wew...
I'm finally through the hard part. Have magnetic weapons and predator armor. Facilities are coming along and I'm winning fights without being gravely injured. But damn if a chunk of my guys aren't shaken and still inured from previous missions.
That's all fine and dandy until your mind controller goes to sleep without disabling her new pet Muton, breaks the psychic connection and by morning everyone is dead.
There's no equivalent to bringing back live enemies like in XCOM: EU right? I thought maybe the Skulljack, but I've only used it once when it was an objective to.
Had unreal graphic glitches in the final room but didn´t want to restart the game in fear of it crashing after loading in.
In the end i did it with the room looking like a hardcore disco.

What the hell is up with the codex? Regularly dodges attacks with over 90% chance to hit and even with over 100% it can still dodge and only take graze damage. I restarted on Commander after flubbing my first Veteran playthrough. I can't remember the last time I managed to deal full damage to one.

Dodge seems to be completely independent of your chance to hit it. I think only "guaranteed" damage ignores the dodge chance.
My approach is to hit it once, trigger the clone, and then the clone counts as robotic (at least vulnerable to that specialist shock attack) and often teleports in on a spot that can be flanked easily. Vipers also seem to have high dodge. I just try to be prepared to overkill them due to dodge. Or grenades. At least vipers have only 8 or so hp.
With the mod I am using atm, I regularly encounter 3 codex pods in addition to an archon. I don't have many auto-loaders so I've had some risky situations due to their psionic ability.
I don't know the answer to your question because I never got that bonus, just to say that continent bonuses are randomized each playthrough, so there is no single european bonus.
Also, unlike EU, you do not get the bonus by starting on the continent, so maybe you haven't earned it.

Oh I didn't know that! I got a bonus that say PCS and Weapon Upgrades are now reusable, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Maybe I'm doing something wrong or misinterpreting it?

Do you know if you really have the bonus? The bonus name should be in green, and you can see a tooltip that says so if you hover your mouse over it. You not only need to contact all regions, but you also have to build one or two radio relays.

Not literally but I had 100% already with an elevation bonus on top and it was in the wide open with its pants down etc
Just had a fucked up VIP mission where the engineer was imprisoned on the other side of the planet and I had 8 turns to pick them up and get to an evac zone that was another 2 turns worth of sprinting from there. By the end all but one off my crew were literally one square outside of the evac zone. Mothertruck. Guess I'm gonna have to do it again.
edit: reloaded the mission. this map is half the size of the last one smh

Something I found out by accident is that flash grenades will prevent codex from using their clone ability. Still a pain in the ass to kill though. Last mission I played, I had to take out a codex and a handful of advanced advent soldiers. So I threw a flash grenade at her, and then moved in to flank with five soldiers. It took a full turn with all five of my soldiers firing at her with flanked shots of 90% or better to finally take her down.
and done. Horribnle last mission (super buggy and awful performance coupled with a RNG-based fight (because
you cant guess where the avatars will teleport to when hit
) made it a terrible end in my opinion) soured me a little on the game, but not enough to not think its a great game, and a great sequel. Loved almost all of it (like I just said lol), and cant wait for the dlc or a proper expansion (was that a
terror from the deep nod at the end, I didnt play the original but wasnt it ocean-based
?). Also, the game is ripe for another long war style mod.
Anyway, setting it aside for now until the summer, other stuff to play (dat Street Fighter son!) and I dont replay games right away anyway. If I was reviewing it, I would probably give it a 4/5 or 8/10, the technical stuff really hurts the game (and I didnt even have that many problems throughout like alot of people) and its a little shorter than I expected (you can easily finish it in 30 hours or less, I stretched it out A LOT), otherwise its good old xcom with some great classes and nice variety in maps compared to the first.
This game is just so brutal.
I'm going to have to set it down to rookie difficulty because my squad is constantly undermanned.
So embarrassing and shameful

Been on the rampage in vet for a while now, tier 3 everything, researched everything, only thing really holding me up is the mandatory psi pipeline and the random research proving grounds. Still got a poor Sarge sniper killed by my own abject stupidity, but still.
Tower is right up ahead. I'm guessing it's either the last or the second-last mission, yeah? I'm waiting to get some more intel before I go in.
By the way, that intel system on the mission I just mentioned seems like something which should've been implemented for all missions.
Avatars were teleporting in the middle of my soldiers after shooting them
. I suppose it's because I was on Veteran difficulty but oh boy it felt like they were suicidal.
Didn't know that an ennemy controlled with Domination counted as a soldier for the stat. Since I sacrified the Gatekeeper I was controlling, it counted as a dead soldier at the end of the mission.
Started the game finally, and it's running great for me so far! Playing on veteran, and my first intel search had poison rounds and corrosive grenades. I'm told this is unusual and corrosive grenades are very useful, although I don't have any armored targets to fight against.
Setting up a perfect overwatch trap and setting it off with a crit sniper shot is so good.
I had exactly the same issue, I bottle necked the last fight in to a corridor I could control and it tanked the frame rate and caused graphical glitches with the enemies on the screen. I'm since taking a break from round 2 till they get their shit in order.

Same thing happenend to me. Rainbow colors --> save and exit --> loading the save crashes the game
In my case it was a buried chryssalid or chryssalid cocoon thats crashing the save. Nothing I can do.
