Man, why did I enter thread. Every fucking year something similar happens, I disregard any rumors but am reminded just how epically beautiful the music and overall the atmosphere was and now I actually want shenmue 3 again!

Based on how he pronounces Shuhei Yoshida and some other Japanese names, I doubt it. Maybe he speaks Japanese, but his pronunciation is the typical American one. Could be wrong, though...

Don’t expect to see the next Yakuza title on PlayStation 3, though. Nagoshi said he thinks Yakuza 5 will be the last entry in the series part of PlayStation 3&#8242;s generation.

Nagoshi hopes to show the next “something” sometime this year.

It's about budget too. If they're going to bring this back and have it cost as much as the others did then it's going to be a money pit just like those were. I'm pretty sure Deus Ex HR didn't cost 50+ million (although it could have, I don't know for sure) so bringing it back and having it sell a modest 2-3 million copies was a pretty solid idea.

They seriously need to do a kickstarter, I think it would do well, there's probably plenty of rich people who are fans too.

I'm usually not a fan of rich people/companies (money or influence) doing Kickstarters as more times than not, they can find funding if they look. This is a case though where I would agree that chances are pretty slim that this will ever be released and some kind of aid like Kickstarter would be great.

Oh god... instead of unique NPCs, every non-protagonist character in the game will be someone else playing. Just imagine the sense of immersion as you pass by a quaint flower shop and see an elderly Chinese man inside spinning around in place!

Yeah, that is why i was wondering a bit about it. Maybe he just use the american pronunciation indeed, but since he worked in Japan for a while, i was wondering if he also knows the language.

I hear he speaks japanese in the GDC 2011 video with Yu Suzuki indeed.
